Chapter 13

    Tommy ran through the cafe door. "I'M BACK!" He yelled, relieved and happy. Everyone greeted him, then went back to work. He went to his station and was shocked. A tall boy with fluffy hair, skin that was a bit pale, and casual clothes was there, and he was making drinks. Tommy immediately went to Niki and asked her about the boy.

    "NIKI!? DID YOU REPLACE ME WITH ANOTHER PERSON?!" He almost yelled, and he tried to keep his voice down to avoid the other workers staring at him. Niki looked confused for a second, then she laughed. "No Tommy, I didn't replace you. I could never replace you even if I wanted to mainly because everyone here wouldn't speak to me." She said while laughing. 

    "That's William. He's new here, and he picked to work at the drinks station. Do you think you could show him how the drinks are made?" She asked, knowing Tommy would like to be considered better than the newbie. "Yeah, I think I could! Thanks, Niki!" Tommy said, glad he hadn't been replaced. "And also, Tommy, welcome back. But keep this in mind. If you feel a bit weak, you can leave. I won't force you to work with that type of injury." Niki said seriously. Tommy nodded and turned back towards the drink station.

    "Oi newbie," Tommy said, calling out to William. "Yeah?" William said, turning to face Tommy. "Do you have a nickname or something? William sounds boring." Tommy said, looking William up and down. "Uhm, LIAM! Yeah, Liam. That's my nickname." William said, relieved and proud of his quick-thinking skills. "Anyways, you're mixing the drinks wrong. And the blender has been going on for way too long." Tommy said, pointing out the blender, which was still spinning.

    "OH! UHM, THANKS FOR POINTING THAT OUT!" William said, rushing over to the blender and trying to get it to stop. "Let me show you how it's done." Tommy said, grabbing a banana, milk, smooth peanut butter, chocolate syrup, chocolate extract, and ice cubes. Tommy then showed Liam how to properly make the smoothie and some tips. Liam stared in shock and watched Tommy carefully.

    "How are you so good at this?" Liam said, amazed as Tommy made the smoothie in less than 2 minutes. "It's my job idiot, of course I'm good at it." Tommy said, rolling his eyes, but smiling a bit due to the praise. When Tommy was coming back from giving the person their order, he almost fell. His eyes blew open in shock and he quickly grabbed a table and tried to steady himself.

    "No, no, not now!" Tommy thought as he tried to even his unsteady breathing. After a while, he calmed down, and he let out a sigh of relief once he realized that he wasn't falling again. He then carefully made his way over to Liam who was becoming pretty good at the drinks, Tommy realized. "You're a quick learner, aren't you?" Tommy said, taking in Liam as he did exactly what Tommy told him to do. Liam and Tommy both smiled, and Tommy turned back to go to the cash register. Then, two people walked in.
