Chapter 109

    Tommy clenched his teeth as he swung Clementine at another man and glanced at Sally. She was looking behind her as she gripped Fundy's arm tightly. Tommy had to take his eyes off the pair for a second because another guy threw a punch, but he was a bit too slow and Tommy heard a loud crunch as the man's fist connected with his nose.

    Tommy groaned and stepped back a bit. Clementine immediately grew in size and protected Tommy from the oncoming attacks. "Thanks a lot, Clem." Tommy said gratefully. "You're welcome, Tommy!" Clementine said with a hint of happiness in their voice as they continued deflecting the attacks directed toward Tommy. Tommy smiled and then looked back at Sally and Fundy, only to fund Sally picking Fundy up and getting ready to run off.

    "SALLY'S ESCAPING!" Tommy yelled, and Phantom whipped around. But they were too late. Sally and Fundy were gone. "SHIT, THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING!" Phantom yelled and he gripped his hair tightly as he thought about what to do.

    "Hey, Boss said to just keep them distracted, so should we just go now?" A man with a deep voice said. "Uhm, I don't really know?" Another man replied. "Everyone, gather around me quickly!" Bee said quietly to everyone, who gathered under him. Tommy and Ender immediately knew what he was planning and reached for their belts.

    "Tommy, Ender, on the count of three." Bee said, making sure the men were still talking to each other and not paying any attention to them. Tommy looked up at Bee but didn't remove his hand from his belt.

    "1..." Bee said, reaching for his belt. Tommy snapped open a pocket in his belt. "2..." Bee said as he slowly descended to the ground, but he was still a foot in the air. Tommy pulled something out of the pocket, closed the pocket, and made sure Clementine was secure. "3!" Bee yelled, as Tommy, Ender, and Bee threw something at the floor.

The last thing they saw was red, grey, and yellow smoke surrounding them.

    I looked around and blinked furiously to try to see what was going on, but the smoke was so thick I couldn't see anything. I heard TommyInnit start telling a plan to everyone. "Ok, so now the guys are distracted, and we can think of a quick escape." He said, and I nodded, despite knowing no one can see me.

    "So the smoke has probably spread considerably, so we can move a lot without being seen. There's a rooftop right behind us, so we can jump up there. From there, we can talk about what we should do next. Sound good?" TommyInnit said, and sounds of agreement were heard from everyone. "Ok, let's do it then!" TommyInnit said, and I heard him start jumping in one place repeatedly.

    "Wait, why are you doing that-?" I said but was cut off by hearing TommyInnit jump higher with each jump. Soon, I heard him jump super high and land softly on the rooftop. "Come on!" He yelled down to everyone. I heard Bee and Ph1LzA fly up to the rooftop, a weird warping sound, and Blade jumped so high he was on the rooftop on the first jump.

    I floated up and phased through the top of the roof, making it look like I came out of the ground. "So what's next?" I asked, and TommyInnit sighed. "Well, we've sadly lost Fundy, and we don't know where on earth they went, so we can't continue looking at the moment. Don't take it the wrong way, but it would be a waste of time if we looked for Fundy, since we don't have any more hints to where we went." He said, and I nodded as the realization dawned on me.

    "And before anyone says anything about us knowing which direction they were in, it's useless. I regret saying this, but Sally is actually smart. She won't hesitate to instantly change her location to somewhere else." He said with a sigh.

    I nodded sadly and sighed. "I failed him..." I said as tears pricked my eyes. I felt Ph1LzA place a hand on my shoulder in an attempt to comfort me. "Don't worry Phantom. We'll find him soon, ok?" Blade said, and I nodded.

    "You might be a pain in our necks, but we'll still help you find him. No kid deserves that... Temporary alliance?" TommyInnit said as he held his hand out. I smiled and nodded. "The feelings are mutual, you gremlin. But yes, temporary alliance." I said and shook his hand.

    "Well, we better get going. It's getting really late, and we've got to help Bee with something." Ender said, and I smiled sadly and nodded. "I still hate vigilantes, but you three might just be the only ones I can tolerate. Do you three have a name?" I asked, and Bee nodded.

    "Yeah, we're called the Bench Trio. Because we all met on a bench." Bee said, and I could hear the smile in his voice. "Ok! Well, bye then!" I said and then started jumping away. I could hear Ph1LzA and Blade saying their goodbyes, and Blade once again apologized to Clementine. I felt a small sad smile on my face and continued jumping, and soon I heard Blade and Ph1LzA jumping behind me. This wasn't a great night, but there was one good thing.

At least I got to see Fundy again.

    Tommy smiled and looked back at Ender and Bee. "Well, shall we go?" Tommy said, and the two nodded. "Let's go!" Clementine said happily. They were happier since Blade apologized for some reason. Suddenly, Bee bent over in pain and let out a loud groan. "Bee?!" Tommy said, concerned for his best friend.

    "I-It's getting worse..." Bee muttered, and Tommy could see tears forming in his eyes. Tommy's eyes widened as he realized what Bee was talking about. "Shit. Ender, teleport us straight to our bathroom. Now." Tommy said as he tried to stay calm.

    Ender paid no attention to Tommy's rudeness, knowing how desperate the situation was. Tommy was very thankful for that. He immediately grabbed Tommy and put his hand on Bee's shoulder, who was still bent over in pain. Ender wasted no time in quickly teleporting to their bathroom.

    Since they weren't on patrol anymore, Tommy used their real names. "Shit... Tubbo, can you try taking your shirt off? Or do you need help?" Tommy said, now in full panic mode. "I... I can barely move my arms right now!" Tubbo said, now also starting to panic. "Frick... let me help." Ranboo muttered as he helped Tubbo take his shirt off.

    "Tubbo, you can still walk, right?" Tommy asked, and Clementine flew out of his hand and started thinking about ways to help. "Y-yeah, why?" Tubbo asked. "Come here next to the sink." Tommy said, his brain running at a mile per hour. Tubbo walked over and turned his back to Tommy, who immediately shut his eyes. Tommy steadied himself for what was to come and slowly opened his eyes.

He was not ready for what he saw.
