."Find her. Now."
"Yes, sir!"
The anxiety induced pit in his stomach had grown tenfold, his fingertips thrumming against the armrest of his chair as he fought the urge to leave the sanctuary of his home, and tear apart the city below him in an effort to find her.
Sasuke could sense her presence even from here, but had been forced to remain behind while his men swiftly spread out in search of her. His eldest brother's doing... given that his authority over their coven outranked his own.
Itachi wanted as little bloodshed as possible, and Sasuke was one of the most bloodthirsty, destructive ones of them all... especially when it came to the safety and well-being of his female.
Well... she wasn't his; yet.
But soon. He comforted himself with that knowledge as he took a long sip from his beer glass; the amber liquid slowly sliding down his throat and filling his chest with a pleasant afterburn; which unfortunately for him, lasted for about two seconds before quickly dissipating. The Uchiha swirled the remaining liquid in his glass and frowned at it...taking note that once this mess with Sakura was sorted out, he would have to advise his men to purchase him something much stronger; more lasting. Sasuke downed what remained in his beer cup and was just about to refill it when one of his higher ranking members mind-linked him with an update.
"Sir, Sato found her. On the east side of the river. In one of the abandoned apartments. Number 307. She's... injured."
The cup instantly shattered in his grasp as Sasuke swiftly shoved his chair backwards and stood... his obsidian eyes flashing ruby-red while he grabbed his cloak from the back of his chair.
"Don't touch her. I'm on my way."

.She's lying behind the counter with blood trailing from an injury to her head when he finds her and his strong desire to protect her stuns him momentarily... almost as much as her beauty did the first time they'd met... before he moved to her side; hovering as he knelt down beside her body.
His men kept watch as he inspected her injuries.
But as he draws closer it's the smell of her fresh blood that stuns him the most— because unlike in the past when she had nicked a fingertip with a sharp blade, while cutting fruit for lunch or gotten a small little paper cut when she'd been sorting through things for work... it has become something that's not quite human anymore and he was lost as to why.
He'd been keeping a close eye on her for a while now and nothing in her life had changed; nothing that could explain it. He's almost positive that he would have noticed the shift in her DNA sooner; his senses were almost unmatched by anyone... other than his kin of course.
So then, how was it possible?
How had he not known?
His attention was shifted back to her as she groaned and then slowly began to stir next to him. He placed a hand in the center of her back as she slowly began to drag herself into an awkward sitting position. Then when Sakura finally opens her eyes, hand placed tentatively on her head, the immediate fear in them tells him everything that he needs to know as she tries to scoot away from him. His jaw and fists clench painfully as he continues to hold her gaze.
Sakura Haruno has no idea who or what he is— or she is for that matter.
But she's about to.
