He's above her, per usual, panting in her ear while her nails drag down his back. Exhaustion is etched on her features as he finishes, his grip on the pillow beneath her tightening briefly before he pauses to catch his breath. He lets out a ragged huff of finality before easing himself off of her and onto his side of the bed. And she allows him the space he requires as she too tries to catch her breath. It was midnight, the sun had set hours ago, yet dull lights continued to filter in through the large picture window on her left from the nightlife below them.

The city was abuzz with people, coming and going on their nightly routines and fancy excursions. She knew without glancing that she didn't fit into any of their "societal norms". Never had, and never would. Sakura Haruno felt hollow tonight, and not just from the absence of her lover's cock inside of her. She'd told herself time and time again that what she had with the CEO was merely physical and to not let his aloofness bother her. Yet...as of recently...her heart yearned for something much more tangible than a simple one night stand and a good fuck.

Day after day and night after night the pleasure they shared was unmatched, otherworldly almost. Yet by the finale, the pink-haired was somehow always left disappointed and (only partially) unsatisfied after he turned his back toward her; a silent aquest for her to see herself to the door.

Tonight seemed to be no different as the storm of a century rolled in from the distance; quick and agile in its haste to greet them like an old friend. Sakura turned her head to glance at Sasuke, but when she realized that he was paying her no mind, she let out a soft sigh. Glancing tiredly at the clock on her left, she realized it was time to depart.

She sat on the edge of the bed, stretching her sore muscles out a little before reaching down to retrieve her discarded dress. When she felt pressure on her wrist as he grabbed her, she quickly turned to meet a pair of dark eyes staring directly at her. She lifts a single brow questioningly, waiting for him to explain himself. He didn't. Instead he says, "Where are you going?" His voice was deep and gravely, sending a shiver down her spine. 'Not again. Not now.'

It was an odd question, she thought as the sound of thunder rolling in could be heard. A flash of lightning that followed was almost eerie as the entire room lit up for a brief moment. In that split second, she saw a look flash across her lover's handsome and stony features that was unrecognizable, but there wasn't a need to try and decipher it because she had to get home before the worst of the storm hit. She sighed and thunder rumbled as she tried to pull her arm out of his grasp, but his grip was firm and unmoving as he waited for a response.

"I'm going home, Sasuke," she huffed and rolled her eyes at him in frustration while tilting her head to the left. "I know the routine. It's not like we haven't done this little dance before. I come to you, and then after I leave and vice versa. You don't have to remind me of the rules. I get it."

Thunder, much louder than before, sounded slightly muffled at her back. She turned to see the rain that was headed straight toward them in a sheet of haze and fog from his penthouse window. 'Great... at this rate I'll be lucky if I don't get drenched,' she thought with a frown. "No. You're staying here for the night." She quickly turned around to face him; incredulous. The swift motion caused her head to throb, but she ignored the uncomfortable feeling to question him.

"What?"

Sasuke nods toward the window as if that's enough of an answer, but explains when she remains silent. "The storm won't let up for a solid hour or so. Might as well stay put and let it pass." She blinked.

"But... we're done here, right? Besides, it's not that bad yet, and where the hell would I even sleep?"

"Here," he says without hesitation, tugging her wrist in order to pull her back on the bed next to him. He releases her and turns away, rising to sit on the side of the bed before grabbing his shorts from the floor and sliding them on. "I'll take the couch. I'm not tired right now anyway." Her lover stood to leave and she instinctively reached for him; causing him to stop in his tracks when he felt her tug on his wrist. He didn't turn to look at her, simply waited to hear what she had to say next.

"Are you sure about this? I don't mind getting a little wet. It's not that bad yet and if I leave now, I'll—"

"It's fine, Sakura." He wiggles his wrist from her grip more gently than she anticipated before sticking his hands in his pockets. He didn't turn back and made his way to the bedroom door, but before he left his head turned towards her slightly. It was too dark to see his expression clearly, but she felt goosebumps rise across her flesh nonetheless. "Just rest here for tonight, alright. You can leave early in the morning." Without another word, he shut the door behind him, leaving her in a state of confusion and surprise.

Author's Notes:

If any of these sound like your own writing or another you have read I apologize but I didn't copy anyone's work. This is entirely my own writing.

Random things I wrote for this:

Love affair. Sasuke is a CEO/billionaire while she is his secretary. The arrangement came up when they both felt the attraction for one another and could no longer fight it. But Sasuke is bound to wed another in the future and wants no strings with his little office romance. Somehow though, he begins to fall in love and wonders if he's making the right decision after all or the biggest mistake of his life. It will be angsty and 18+ if continued.

*Sasuke normally sends Sakura off after they have sex; after all, what they have is strictly physical. But when a storm of the century rolls in and she tries to leave, he tells her to stay. Is she thinking too much into this? That he purposefully asked her to come with the promise of pleasure only to keep her safely by his side to weather out the storm together. Does he (deep down) actually care for her other than just a simple "fuck buddy"? They promised no feelings, but does Sasuke have a soft spot for her like she's starting to for him?*
