The next day...

Rage was consuming every part of my body, the way that man used my nightmares against me, made it clear that I had to be prepared for what happened next

Rage was consuming every part of my body, the way that man used my nightmares against me, made it clear that I had to be prepared for what happened next. Buck knows about it, only a small amount but I don't trust him enough to keep quiet, although he doesn't have to.

Instead of receiving a call and helping someone out, we're restocking the pantry of the firehouse. I don't mind honestly, today was certainly filled with different emotions, that's for sure.  " okay listen up, last couple of times we're here mistakes were made, and that is not gonna happen again. That is why I am pairing you up on your assignments. Eddie, Artemis, you are on meats and deli, nothing leaner than 92%. Hen, chimney baking aisle, unrefined flour this time. Thank you. I will cover fruits and Vegetables. Once you have everything on your list, we will reconvene at the dairy case. Let's move." He heads into the supermarket with us following him.

"What a coincidence, I'm a vegetarian, is he always organized?" I ask Eddie. "This is only just the beginning."

He ordered the meats, and while looking at the list from Cap, he told me something that surprised me. "What do you mean he just dropped the charges? He sure as hell didn't feel guilty when he decided to sue the entire department."

"You make it sound like you're disappointed." He hands me the list and collects the meat and we start walking to the register.

"I'm just surprised, he went through all that trouble of suing just to end up dropping the charges." I was pleased to hear that Bobby wasn't being sued anymore but what I didn't like was the fact that Buck knows things about me that should have never been public to begin with. His lawyer was using it against me, I was a child for fucks sake, and I didn't even know my mom well enough to defend her from what had happened that night.

"Woah, hey, uh guys what's up?" Buck appears out of nowhere.

"What are you doing here?" Bobby asks Buck, "Me, I'm just here to do some- shopping." He grabs the nearest thing he can find and shows it off. "Eight miles from your apartment?" Chimney asks him.

"Yeah, well, this is the only place that has... happy cat laxative powder." He goes with the lie until hen keeps asking him questions. "You're buying cat laxative?"

"Yeah, I've been thinking about getting a new cat."

"And your anticipating your new cat will be irregular." Chimney starts putting on the most fakest laugh I have ever heard and Buck finally gives in "Listen, I- I came to apologize, okay, I never meant for this to get so out of hand with the lawsuit and I especially owe an apology to you." He looked at me and I couldn't hold back my words at that moment.

"you can take that wack ass apology and shove it right up your ass Buckley-" my words made hen and chimney jaws drop to the floor.

"What did you think was gonna happen? The lawsuits were bad enough, but you told your lawyer everything about us- personal things. You even made him dig up shit about someone you haven't even gotten a chance to properly meet yet." It was written all over Eddie's face that he was hurt by Buck's actions.

"You're supposed to be truthful with your lawyer." Buck defends himself as if it's gonna make it any better. "Why are you so pissed at me?" Even after that the Buckley boy still couldn't see what he did wrong.

"Because you're exhausting, we all have our problems but you don't see us whining about it. No somehow, we just manage to suck it up, what can't you?" I just know that Eddie's words stung Buck because maybe he won't listen to the rest of his friends but maybe his best friend's harmful words would make him use his brain right.

"That's kinda harsh, it's not like the man asked to be crushed by a ladder." Chimney comes to Buck's defense, he was right though, it's not Buck's fault but we shouldn't have paid the price either.

"No but he filed a stupid lawsuit, and now I can't even talk to you because of it. Do you know how much Christopher misses you? How could you? You're not around."

"Maybe I can come and visit Christopher, you know the lawsuit doesn't prevent that." Buck's eyes were filled with sadness, but his heart was in the right place, even though his head was in the wrong place.

"No it prevents me from calling you, I couldn't even call you to bail me out of jail!" Eddie soon realizes by all of our reactions that maybe he shouldn't have that. "if that was something that would happen." Bad save Eddie, different didn't help your case."

"Look man, why can't you see my side of this?" He pleads to Eddie, who looks like he is about to punch Buck. "Cause that's all you see!"
There was a loud crash outside, with people shouting in the parking lot. "Should we stop them?"

"These two or those two?" Chimney points at Buck and Eddie and the two people arguing outside.

"Let's go!" Bobby tells us as we get our coats from the truck along with our equipment. A car starts driving into another car then soon starts to drive off and manages to hit the fire hydrant. Which sends half of the car up because of the water pressure.

"Artemis, Eddie, get the tools. Hen, chimney, check on the drivers.

Later that night cap convinced us to do a team-building exercise, going to a rage room. I have never felt more at ease in my life before. Hen was at first was opposed to the idea but she received news that none of Karen's embryos were good. It's heartbreaking to see them try so hard to make a kid, some people don't deserve to be parents, they take advantage of that meanwhile good people like Karen and hen are struggling.

"Looks like you have more team building to do." Athena's ex-husband Michael pointed out Buck coming into the rage room.

"Hey, uh, hey Bobby, thank you for... inviting me. Look I- I just wanted to apologize." He was uncomfortable to be somewhere that his crew didn't want him to be but was happy enough that Bobby was making progress with him.

"You're going to get a call from the chief tomorrow, you are being reinstated to active duty, the brass didn't want the headache. They are afraid of the bad press."

"That's awesome." He laughs nervously, he keeps his hands in his pants not knowing what's he doing in a rage room "Yeah, maybe not. They gave me the option to transfer you, they understood how I might not want you back after everything you put us through. But I said no, you're coming back to the 118, so I can keep an eye on you."

"Thanks, captain, you won't regret it." He lifts his head from shame and shakes Bobby's hand. "My house, my rules. Remember that? One more thing, start getting along with Artemis, she's not going anywhere any time soon, if you guys keep arguing I will put you two on office duty all by yourself." Bobby walks away leaving the blonde man speechless.

I grab my sledgehammer and break through a TV, I start to destroy several glass bottles releasing so much anger that was stuck inside me. This is my kind of therapy, not the talking kind, this is why I rather use my hands than my mouth. Eddie wasn't there, who knows what he's doing all he said was that he was busy.
