"Shots fire! Firefighters need help!" Once Buck pulls me and Eddie under the engine, everything around me was starting to become real again. Buck pulls me by my wounded arm while I pull Eddie by the other, buck couldn't get to both of us so I grabbed Eddie. "Get them in the cabin!" Mehta yells. Buck carries Eddie inside the engine first because we was barely awake. Mehta manages to help me up inside while Buck hands Eddie over to someone else in the engine. "Go, Go, go, go!" I was leaning onto the side of the door while buck was placing gauze on eddies wound. The blood on my hands was starting to scare me, the other firefighter in the truck was applying pressure to Eddie then buck moves on to me. Buck rips open the top half of my shirt and puts his hand on my wound to slow down the blood.

"Not again." Tears in my eyes were pooling down at the sight of the horror on bucks face and the limp body of Eddie. "Hey, you two ... stay with me, okay?" Eddies eyes were rolling to the back of his head, buck puts his hand on my cheek, I was starting to slip away into a sleep, "no, no, no stay awake, I can't lose either of you." I soon started to hear the yelling of many people around me.

"Large caliber, the bullet went through him but it's still in her." As soon as I heard the bullet was still in me, I started panicking, "Pulse is weak with both, trauma bays two and three, let's set up a thoracotomy!" I heard a doctor yell as I was being wheeled away, I start to hear things, the little girl screams were stuck in my head. The screams i did when I had found my mom, everything that happened that night it was like it was just yesterday that it happened. Every single moment that i was close to death those situations were replaying in front of my eyes, when i got shot in military, the horrifying fear i had about dying the same way my mother did was so real in the moment. I guess third times the charm.

The scene of the crime....

"Detective Denver's? Heard about the shooting, thought I could stop by and help." Athena says when she got to the scene of the incident, she saw officers everywhere and people around were filming. "Sergeant Athena grant, and why would an off duty sergeant be interested in my crime scene?" Athena had to tell her the truth, she was concerned for the 118. "My husband's truck, he's captain of the 118, the two injured firefighters were his."

"What do you know about the two of them? Someone said they're both ex-military." Athena gives her quick replies while trying not to seem frightened that this happened. "Artemis and Eddie, you think they were the intended victims?" She asks. "He was shot first then the bullet went through him and went into her. The shot was fired by someone who's apparently a very well- trained sniper. Feels like there could be a connection, we have a feeling it's more relation to girl." Another officer gets a hold of the detectives attention and it allows Athena to start looking around.

The hospital....

"Buck." The red haired woman walks towards him and he begins to walk away from her. "Uh. No- no comment Taylor." There was reporters standing outside the hospital to hear the news about Artemis and Eddie, "that's not why I'm here, really, I'm not working this one. I just heard two firefighters were shot, you didn't answer my calls. I got worried-" buck pulls out his phone and sees his missed calls from Taylor. "Is that blood?" She notices, "it's not mine it's Artemis or eddies, they were the ones who got shot. They were standing right in front of me and then, um... um, I need to talk to her brothers and Christopher. I- I don't have my car, I need to call an Uber." The Buckley boy was pacing back and fourth, still replaying the incident of his favorite people getting shot. "Why don't I drive you? Me and Artemis never got along but this is the least I could for her. I would have never wished this upon her, buck-"
