"You sure it's still here? Maybe they deployed it." I whispered to her, but then I realized two idiots also trying to do the same thing. I go up to Buck and Tk without them noticing. "Where ya going folks?" I asked them. "Holy shit!" Tk immediately covered his mouth, it quiet and a lot of people were already sleeping. "What are you guys doing here?" Marjan asks them. "Could ask you guys the same thing, is that the keys? I thought Eddie had them." Buck said "Yeah he did, I guess we all had the same idea.. where's-" before I could say anything else Eddie appears out of nowhere. "You guys weren't gonna leave without me, huh?" We slowly make our way to the truck. "Dumbasses! Did you guys stop and consider the consequences of what you're all about to do?" Judd says.
"Yeah pretty much, now I'm realizing my captain would kill us if this scratched so we're taking yours." We get into the engine of the 126 and drive off. Soon we arrive where the chopper crashed and started yelling out. "Dad!" Tk says. "Hen!" Buck started to climb up the chopper and realized they aren't there. "They made it out!" The rest of us stared searching everywhere else. "Guys! Guys! Over here!" Marjan yells. We go running towards her and it was a tunnel covered by wood. We pulled the pieces of wood out and soon see hen and captain strand. "Hen!" Buck yells. "I got a pulse!" Eddie and buck help hen out of the tunnel while we race them to med base. I put a line on hen and checked for any other injuries, she was okay. "How is she?" Buck asks. "She'll live, she's dehydrated and has smoke inhalation."
A few a hours later it was time for us to go back to Los Angeles. "So if Yall get hungry, there's a great barbecue place in for Stockton called Rudy's ribs. You just tell them Judd sent you." He gives Eddie a warm smile. "Thanks but I think we're gonna go to my parents in El Paso, besides Artemis is vegetarian. Judd your all right even if you were bulldog." Their high schools were rivals, so they were kinda going at it. "Well it'll make sense that a California firefighter as good as you had to have been raised in Texas. So...." They give each other a handshake. "All right brother."
I was getting my stuff and ran into Marjan, "you weren't gonna leave without saying goodbye huh?" I walk towards her and sit next to her in the go-cart. "Oh relax, I'm not that rude. I was hoping to even get a pic for insta." She laughed. "Clout chaser?" She asked. "Oh please, I want nothing more than to live in peace. It's not everyday you get to take a selfie with Firefox." She rolls her eyes and hits my arm and We take a selfie. "Now that is a whole lot of pretty." Strickland says. "Shut up." She immediately tells him. "I got this." I offer him my hand as a goodbye and he takes it, I flip him over and he groans in pain. "I'm okay!" He yells while Marjan and Judd laughed. "I forgot to warn you about her, she has anger issues." Eddie says as I punched his arm.
"Shit, you're cool." We hug one another, "text me if your in LA, Marjan!" I yelled as I walk away. "Will do!" I walked to to engine while buck was saying goodbye to Mateo. "Hey buck. You really put yourself out there, can't thank you enough." Tk says. "What we do right? Oooh, hey, if you ever find yourself in LA, we should get together" Buck said politely. "Sure but I gotta mention, I already have a boyfriend and it's pretty serious, so." Buck quickly replied. "I have a girlfriend, so what?" Soon then realized what Tk meant by. "Great working with you." Eddie, buck and I were ready to go until we realized we can't forget hen. _________________________________
