today was finally the day. for a little over a year, jimin and yoongi had been speaking to each other over any possible online chatting system that they could. facetime, skype, they texted and called each other anytime they were free. they had met on tumblr, jimin was a big fan of yoongis blog and he had started to send him messages complimenting him and his posts. after that it kind of just took off. they started dating about 7 months after they first started talking. it was jimins first relationship with another guy, but yoongi had been in several.
and today is the day that yoongi finally gets to hold jimin in his arms, and kiss him and tell him how long hes been waiting to tell him that he loves him in real life, face to face.

that morning, jimin had texted yoongi really early to let him know when he was boarding the flight. usually, yoongi would not be up yet, but he didn't get any sleep last night because he couldn't shake the excited feeling in the pit of his stomach. while yoongi awaited jimins arrival, he didn't know what to do with himself. he paced back and forth in his living room for probably half an hour, trying to come up with the right thing to say when he finally saw jimin.
"hey jimin! im so glad your here!" he said to himself in an overly cheerful tone. "ugh, no that sounds weird." he mumbled to himself afterwards. suddenly, a ring from his phone broke him out of his trance.

yoongi quickly nodded to himself before straightening out his clothes with shaky hands and grabbing his keys to go to his car. on the way to the airport, yoongi had to keep reminding himself to actually breath because he was so damn nervous, sometimes he forgot to. "okay, yoongi, just calm down. its just jimin! hes your boyfriend, for gods sake!" he mumbled to himself as he pulled into the parking lot right outside from where he was supposed to pick jimin up.
he slowly exited the car, then proceeded to lock it before making his way inside. 'i cant believe this is happening!' he thought to himself as he wiped his clammy hands on his jeans. he stood outside of where the passengers from jimins flight were supposed to come out of, and a couple minutes later, people started walking out. for a second, there was no sign of jimin, and yoongi could feel his heart almost explode in his chest.
but then he saw him. first he saw jimins bright, blazing red hair, then he saw his face. god, yoongi loved jimins face. and yoongi thought he might cry right then and there. when he walked out, jimin moved his head, in search of where yoongi was, but then he spotted him as well, their eyes locking instantly. jimin wasn't as good as yoongi when it came to holding in his feelings, so the moment he saw yoongis slim figure, hot tears started to pour out of his eyes.
sure, jimin got a couple weird stares because he just randomly started to cry, but he didn't care at all. all he cared about was yoongi. so, when he got close enough, jimin let go of his suitcase handle and started to sprint as fast as he possibly could over to where yoongi was standing. at the last second, yoongi opened his arms just as jimin crashed into him. he stumbled back a bit, almost loosing his balance, but then quickly regained himself and held jimin close to him.
tears started to well up in yoongis eyes because he could finally hold jimin in his arms and see him and smell him and god, yoongi was gonna cry. he was really there with him and honestly, he could hardly believe it. they way jimin smelled, yoongi could only describe as the smell of home. "i- i love you, and i cant believe that this is happening and that im here with you an-" yoongi cut jimins rambling off by pressing a quick kiss to his soft lips.
"i love you, too." yoongi whispered as he held jimin tightly a little longer, just to make sure that he was real and that he was actually there and yoongi hadn't just imagined it all in a dream.
