"happy chuseok, yoongi!" jimin cheered loudly as he walked into his and yoongis room, hands cupped around his mouth as he yelled. yoongi groaned loudly, waving jimin off and lazily covering his head with a pillow. "ten more minutes." he sleepily mumbled, almost too quiet to be heard over jimins loud words. "ten minutes turns into ten hours for you!" jimin whines, taking a seat at the end of the bed. yoongi says nothing and gently wraps his arms around jimins waist. jimin sighs and threads his hands through yoongis hair, earning a hum of approval from the blonde boy. (a/n chuseok; a korean holiday celebrating the middle of autumn or the harvest, where people usually visit their home towns to pay tribute/worship to their ancestors.)
"what are we even doing for chuseok?" yoongi mumbled, his words muffled against jimins body. jimin chuckled, craning his neck to look at his boyfriend, "i told you all of this yesterday! but i guess i can explain again." he said over dramatically, acting as if it was a huge burden to do so. "everyone's coming over, bringing whatever dishes they would like to add, and your helping me cook!" jimin went on, laughing loudly when yoongi perked his head up in confusion at the mention of him cooking.
about an hour later, jimin has finally pushed yoongi out of bed and into the kitchen. "careful with that!" jimin shrieks as yoongis wobbly hands take a dish full of sauce into them. yoongi stares in concentration, making sure not to spill anything as he carefully pours the contents of the bowl into a larger one just as jimin had instructed. jimin then turned to the other side of the kitchen to start on what he knew was one of yoongis favorite dishes; songpyeon. jimin continued to shout instructions to yoongi from his place, finally letting yoongi try and do something himself. (a/n songpyeon is a traditional food served at chuseok, essentially it is a traditional korean rice cake filled with an assortment of things such as sesame seeds, pine nuts, honey, and an assortment of other nuts)
"what are you making?" yoongi said as he curiously sauntered over to jimin. jimin turned to him and scolded him for leaving the oven on, before explaining what he was doing. "really?" yoongis eyes lit up at the mention of his favorite desert. jimin giggled and nodded quickly, gesturing to the ingredients he already had set out. yoongi gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and a wide smile, before rushing back to the stove.
"whats up bitches, we have arrived!" an obnoxiously loud voice rang through their apartment. it was followed by tons of giggles from a lower voice, before revealing who the two were. taehyung and jeongguk, had arrived. jimin rolled his eyes, "language." he said to the younger boy, as he set a dish on their counter. before jungkook had the chance to tell his hyung to shut it, his boyfriend spoke first. "happy chuseok, everyone! we made a special dish for you!" taehyung smiled his widest smile and gestured proudly to the container, which made jungkooks heart swoon. yoongi smiled lightly at the two of them and looked inside the bowl they had brought.
the minute yoongi layed eyes on the contents of the dish, his face scrunched up into an odd expression. he then smiled a fake and extremely wide smile before thanking them and telling them to get their asses into the living room. jimin knew yoongis fake smile when he saw it, so he walked over once they had left the room. "whats wrong?" jimin whispered to yoongi. yoongi simply gestured to the bowl on the counter and scrunched up his eyebrows. jimin peered into the bowl, seeing a white liquid and many colorful peices in it. "is that..a big bowl of cereal?" yoongi nodded slowly and shook his head, "yeah...i have no idea either."

half an hour later everyone had finally arrived, and thankfully seokjin and namjoon and hoseok had all brought actual food to contribute. no one wanted to hurt taehyungs feelings, so they all pretended they were just too full to eat the cereal, and jimin and yoongi promised to save it and eat it for breakfast tomorrow.

a/n happy thanksgiving!! i hope you all have a great day, and if you dont celebrate, just have an awesome day as well!! so im not exactly sure if bangtan celebrate thanksgiving regularly, so i did chuseok instead! i did all my research for it and everything! i know chuseok was a while back, but eh. love you all, sorry this took so long! eat lots and lots and lots tonight (or as much as your little heart wants!)
