(a/n the image above is the picture i used to come up with this idea, and i thought it may help you guys visualize a small part of what im talking about in this. also, this is suck trash ugh)

jimin yawned quietly as he flipped the light switch on, watching as his little store slowly lit up from the inside. he then shuffled his way to the front door, unlocking it with a quick turn of his keys. his store was now officially opened for the day, so he tried his best to rub the sleep out of his eyes and make sure every piece of clothing and accessories were in their rightful place. it had been only a few months since he opened it, but there was already a raising popularity in the store. so, keeping it all in order was a must.

the sign hanging in the front of his store swayed slightly in the wind, and the words written on it brought a smile to his face. i love you more, it read. its what he had decided to name this place only months before. he could still hear yoongi saying it to him every morning before work and every night before bed, and every time in between that. "i love you more!" oh, how he missed his boy. jimin gently dragged his fingertips over the set of yoongis albums he had in stock, he only sold them because he felt yoongi wouldve loved that he did.

and yeah, of course it still hurt sometimes. sometimes, jimin would cry for hours on end, yoongis voice in his ears and his face stuffed into one of yoongis old shirts. but, then he thought about how yoongi would never have to be stressed again. how he wouldnt have to worry about his place in the world or starve himself because he accidentally overworked. knowing that maybe yoongi was in a better place than he had been, made jimin not feel so lonely.

a soft chime rang as the door to his store was pushed open, making him look up to see the customer. and there was his best friend, taehyung, standing and trying to make it seem like this was his first time in here and he was looking through all the items. jimin chuckled, but let him do his thing, waiting for him to come to the counter before starting to talk to him. "i'd like this, please." taehyung said politely to jimin as he set one copy of yoongis album in front of him, still pretending that he didnt know jimin and he was only a store owner to him.

jimin nodded once, taking it and ringing it up for him before placing it gently into a small bag. "he wouldve loved that you did that." jimin said to taehyung as he handed him the bag, watching taehyungs knowing smile erupt on his face. "i know." he said in return, "he always worked hard for this." he then continued, gesturing vaguely to the bag in his hand. jimin decided to change the subject before his mood got ruined. "wanna stay and help out today?" he asked casually, to which taehyung just nodded.

throughout the day taehyung would help fold the clothes and attend to customers, making jimins work load much lighter. jimin had designed all of the clothes they sold, some of them just simple statement pieces and other more special. there were sweaters with yoongis lyrics quaintly engraved on them and shirts with small designs on the pocket that people seemed to like. his most popular item was a black pullover, with the words the dawn right before the sun rises is the darkest, engraved in tiny, navy blue cursive lettering on the front.

only half an hour before closing time, a young boy scurried his way inside. he looked to be maybe 17 or 18, tall in structure but eyes filled with the light of a child. he sauntered to the album section, eyes widening with excitement. "wah, min yoongi? he was a huge deal in the underground scene, i love his music!" he marveled as jimin rang his album up, smiling to the kid with his megawatt smile. "he was quite cool, wasnt he." jimin said fondly, sounding more like a statement than a question. the boy nodded quickly in agreement and thanked him before going. (a/n just to clarify, yes, the boy is jungkook. in this au they dont know each other)

that night, after he had locked up the store with a steady hand and sent taehyung home, he thought about that boy. he thought about how that bright looking boy had loved yoongis music and admired his work ethic, but he didnt know yoongi like jimin knew yoongi. he didnt know yoongis soft smiles and warm hands, and he didnt know yoongis soulful eyes and morning voice. in a way, jimin almost felt bad for those who didnt know him like that. they missed out on what was probably the best thing in the world.

as he walked home, sun setting in the sky around him, he passed yoongis old studio just like he always did. and, like always, he stopped at the door, pressing his palm gently against the cold steel. he didnt know why exactly he did this, but it did make him feel like he was touching a small piece of yoongi. "i miss you, my love." he said to the sky with his head tilted upwards, hoping that yoongi would hear him. he then shut his eyes for a moment, wishing that he could hear "i love you more." just one more time.
