jimin was sure he'd seen him before. he just knew he had. "um- hi?" the boy in front of him interrupted his thoughts. jimins cheeks flushed as he looked at the familiar boy again, "oh god, im so sorry! what can i get for you?" jimin rushed his words, fingers tapping on the keys of the register.
yoongi paused for a moment before opening his mouth again, "i think i'll just have a regular coffee, please. no sugar or anything." he said to jimin, then also giving his name, and nodding his head slightly as a smile grazed his lips. jimin nodded back to him and rushed to the machines to start making his order. he grabbed the cup and started to prepare the drink, forcing himself to stop trying to remember where he had seen the boy.
"order for, uh, yoongi?" jimin raised his voice to that the boy could hear him from where he had sat down. yoongi stood quickly, walking over to retrieve the drink. "thanks." he mumbled under his breath before smiling for a moment at jimin and turning to walk off. "he-hey! wait!" jimin suddenly yelled to where yoongis back was turned. yoongi stopped and turned around, a confused look on his face. "uh, did you need something?" he muttered as he made his way to the counter again. jimin shook his head after a few moments before saying, "i...i think i've seen you before."
yoongi tilted his head in thought, "huh? um, i dont remember seeing you anywhere before now..." he said to jimin, eyebrows furrowing in thought. then the realization dawned on him. "i- i've dreamt about you." jimin whispered shyly. yoongi made a look that seemed to ask jimin to explain, to he went on. "i have this thing, i think its called nightmare disorder? ah, im not quite sure. but anyways, every so often, i have one pleasant dream that doesnt keep me up all night. and every time i've had one, i've seen you."
yoongi was quiet for a moment before lifting his head up to look at jimin again, "do you- uh- do you want to maybe talk for a little bit? i dont do this often but you seem..i dont know, different. and i- uh- i want to get to know you better." yoongi mumbled almost too softly for jimin to hear. yoongi didnt know what had come over him, but it felt right asking jimin to be with him.
jimin nodded, smiling shyly. "sure. i would- i would actually love that. but first i have to make sure its alright with my boss, so just give me one second." jimin nodded and held up one finger, before rushing to the back of the shop. he entered his jin's office and looked at him happily. "jin hyung! you know that boy that i told you about that i've, like, seen in my dreams? well he's here. like literally. so um, i was wondering if its okay that i have the rest of the day off?" jimin explained quickly, hands playing with the rings he had on. jin was silent a moment before nodding, "okay, jimin. thats fine. so have fun! i'll call in taehyung to see if he can work an extra shift." jin smiled at him.
jimin sighed in relief and gently took his apron off and placed it on the hanger in the office. "thank you, jin hyung. i promise i'll make it up to you!" he said loudly. jin chuckled with his phone pressed against his ear, "yeah yeah. your lucky taehyungs free today. now get out of here, you rascal." jimin nodded once again and dashed out of the shop, running out as the back door slammed shut behind him.
his breaths created white puffs of smoke in the cold air as he walked over to yoongi who was standing outside. "hey." he breathed as jimin walked closer. jimin smiled lopsidedly at him before gesturing for him to come over. "lets take a walk, yeah?" they walked slowly around the area, none of them really being bothered by the cold. "so, tell me about these dreams of yours." yoongi chuckled when he saw how red jimin got at his question. "well..." jimin began to explain. and the rest was history.
