Im Ready Pt. 1

San E POV
I was actually happy when she said that. Basically we thought the same thing, that were ready. I didn't want her to rush herself, but she already decided. I can tell she was determined. I went to the store to get condoms cuz I'm not ready to have kids, yet. I also bought roses to put rose petals in the bed and floor, and lavender-scented candles (since I know she loves lavender scented stuff) to set the mood. I paid the cashier and then I went home. When I came home, Angela was not there. I guess she went somewhere. I have to do it before she gets home. I thought. I started to prepare everything in the house.

Angela's POV
To get rid of the nervousness that I have inside, I decided to call his mom. She a really nice woman and really caring and I love that about her. We were at the cafe talking. I was wearing a plain black shirt, black ripped jeans, red sneakers, and a beanie. I was looking at the window thinking about what's gonna go down tonight. This is the first I'll show my body to him. But it's like I'm insecure. I can't show it to him. I'm not even skinny, I'm not even comfortable in my own skin. Ugh idk. I thought.

"Hello...Angela?" She said trying to get my attention. I snapped back to reality. I turned to her and she looked at me with concern. "Are you ok, sweetie?" She asked. "Yea...I'm fine." I said trying to brush off my thoughts. "It's about sex isn't it?" She said with a little smile. I was a little surprised. "How did you know?" I asked. "Hey I am a woman too you know?" She pouted crossing her arms. "Yea that's true. But I guess I'm a little scared." I admitted. I don't want to tell her why. "Why?" She asked. I can't lie to her. I guess I should be open about it. "Self consciousness?" I said feeling embarrassed. "Sweetie there's nothing to be embarrassed about. You are beautiful and I'm glad that my son found someone like you. I use to be insecure like you too. But it does take time to love yourself. Just take one step at a time. I haven't seen..you know people of color in Korea before so this is a first. Obviously at thanksgiving when I first saw you, I had the feeling you would be the one to be with my son for the rest of his life. You know about his ex right?" She asked. "Yeah he told me that she cheated on him, right?" I asked. "That's not all." She said. "What do you mean?" "Well...don't tell him I told you this...ever since he dated her, I had a bad feeling about her. And I was right. She was a gold digger and was using him. I tried telling him but he didn't believe me because he was too in love. The day that he found out that she cheated on him, I was devastated. He thought that he would never find love again. Then that's when he met you." She puts her hands on top of mine. "I know both of you will have an amazing life together. For better and for worse, through sickness and in health. So I'm asking you, please protect him and love him with all of your heart." She asked with pleading eyes. "Don't worry. I will love him for the rest of my life." I said assuring her. "Ok that's a relief. And I was gonna take you to the store." "Why?" "Because I was gonna teach you to be comfortable in your own skin so I was gonna take you to buy lingerie." I gave her the "what the fuck" face. "Lingerie?" "Yeah. But at least try it. You don't have to buy anything. But if you want, that's fine also." I thought about it. It's like wearing a bra and panties so might as well. "Ok I'll try it." I said. I paid for our coffee and went to the store.

[Time Skip]
I came back home and it was 9:00 PM. I took my shoes and found rose petals all over the floor with lights out and candles on. "What the fuck?" I whispered. I smelled the aroma of my favorite scent. Lavender. He really knows me. I thought. I decided to follow the rose petals. Then it led me to the bedroom. I took a big breath and slowly opened the door. I was in shock. The rose petals on the bed, the lavender scented candles everywhere, like it was just beautiful. Then I felt arms around my waist. I chuckled because I knew who it was. "Welcome home Jagiya." He said while he kissed my neck softly. "Hey" I said. "You really went all out." I said impressed and turned around to look at him. "Yeah I did...all for you." He said. "Can you stop being cheesy?" I said playfully hitting his arm. He laughed then pulled me closer to him. We gazed into each other's eyes. Then, he leaned in for a kiss.
