It's the end of the day. I walk out of school and see Dawn's already down the block. I hope she feels better. I don't wanna remind her about what happened.
"Dawn!" I yell.
She turns around and smiles at me.
"Hold up!"
She stops walking and waits for me as I catch up.
"Do you wanna hang out today?" I ask her
She purses her lips as she sticks her hands in her pockets. "I have to go home, sorry"
I nod slowly. "Oh okay"
"But I mean, you could come over to my place if you want"
"Sure" I smile at her.
We walk home to her house. It's not that far from where I live since we only live a few blocks apart.
The whole way to her house we're quiet. I don't know what to say to her honestly. I feel like what happened at the party was my fault. I could've been with her more. I could've stayed by that bathroom door until she told me what was really going on
But instead, I left.

We reach her house and she unlocks the door. Her mom's sitting down on her phone.
"Hey ma" Dawn says. " Mattia's gonna be over for a few okay?"
She looks up at me and squints her eyes. And then she smiles. "Alright. Just do anything I wouldn't do"
"I knowww ma" she says back as we begin walking up the stairs.
As we enter her room i remember the last time I was here. It was before I started dating Leah.
