Chapter 79:

YOUR P.O.V.

"He's not coming with us" Mattia whispers to me as he starts walking downstairs

"Mattia don't get into a fight with him I just wanna leave already" I say but he clearly ignores me as he approaches the guy who's dressed in a dark blue shirt and black jeans and his timbs. He stares blankly at Mattia who goes closer to him

"Leave asshole" Mattia says as he goes to shut the door In his face but Wes pushes it back open.

"Look I was invited to the party you're going to. You don't have to worry; I won't be around any of you guys if that's what you want"

"So why're you here" he asks

"To give Jenna the fastest directions to get there. She asked for them this morning"

And then he walks over to her;taking out his phone and has her take pictures of something that's on the screen. And then she tells him thank you and he looks at me poker faced before he leaves the house.

"Well we ready?" Kairi asks

"I've been ready bro" Jenna says and then Ale takes out his phone and orders an Uber

When we arrive at the area where the party's being held, we get out the car and the first thing I see is a huge building. It looks like it's up for rent but I can see people entering it. Mattia takes my hand and I smile at him as we walk inside

The first thing I smell is alcohol.. which I know Ale and Jenna would love. It's their party favorite. And then I notice the group of people doing party activities who're way too intoxicated to really understand what they're doing.

We all make our way farther inside; passing areas where there's a ton of color shifting lights and then areas where there aren't any lights at all. And I don't know if it's me but this party looks ass

"Is that Mattia Polibio!" I hear someone yell and I turn; shocked; to see a group of girls wearing dresses barely passing their crotch area, giggling as the flash of their camera goes off. I tap Mattia but he shrugs it off

"Just ignore them" he says as he brings me to a table with drinks and snacks. But I look around at the display to see they're all probably filled with drugs.

"Is this a weed brownie?" Jenna says as she picks up the brown snack and smells it. "Definitely weed in here" she says smirking as she breaks off a piece and puts it in her mouth

"This place looks ass" I say as I go to take a cup when I realize something's already in it.

I flick my hand away and cringe as Alejandro laughs.

"Just don't think about the negative side of it" he says as he goes to a punch bowl and grabs a plastic cup out of a stack.

It looks unused unlike mine

He pours the drink in and a girl tugs on his shoulder causing him to spill it all on the ground. "Alejandro Rosario?" The girl says as she looks closer at his face. But you can barely see anyone's features while the changing light fills the room

And then she squeals. "Oh my god it's you! Can I get a picture?" She says taking her phone out of her mini purse. He looks at us and grinds his teeth together as he raises his brows.

"Uhh- sure" he says as the girl pulls her face towards his and flashes her camera

I turn to Kairi and Mattia who're still examining the snacks. "What are we supposed to do here when everyone's trying to take pictures with you guys?" I ask the boys who look up at me grinning

"It's fine" Mattia says. "Here, let's dance" he says as he takes my hand. I bite my lip embarrassingly as we move into a circle of people who're dancing insanely to remixes of songs. I watch as Mattia immediately fits in with the crowd; hyping people up and chanting the song lyrics

And then I remember this is a party and I actually have to seem interested in it. That's the difference between Mattia and I.

He's an extrovert and I can't really say I'm the same way.

Eventually Mattia joins the circle and I get a few laughs out of it but Jenna pulls my arm as she hands me a cup .i look inside of it to see a colored liquid I can't really describe. These lights make everything look different

She nudges it closer to me and I find myself yelling to try and ask her what it is since the music got louder.

"What is this!" I yell as she winces and tries to understand me

"Huh!"

"I said what is this!"

"It's punch!" She says as she sips from her cup

I smell the drink which makes my nose itch and I push it closer to her. "I don't want it!"

She shakes her head. "Just drink it!" She says passing it back to me and bringing the cup towards my lips.

I give in and take from it as I wince Becuase my throat burns as it goes down. That definitely can't be punch.

"Do you like it!" She says to me as she begins dancing with the people around her.

I lick my lips as I taste a fruitiness. Maybe it is punch.

"Yeah! Where did you get it from!"

She winces as she tries to understand what I said and then she points to a stand on the opposite side of the room with drink dispensers. I make my way over, wobbling slightly and fill my cup halfway. I douge it down and find myself craving more.

But then the room starts blurring and I try to blink to make it clearer but I stop when I realize it's not working and I can barely see in front of me. I laugh as I pull a random girl.

"Where's the bathroom?" I ask her loudly

"Down the hall to your right!" She says back to me. I nod and walk as I hold onto the walls which I can't really feel at the base of my fingertips. But then I get to a door and enter without knocking, shocked by the smell of vomit and girls yelling at me to get out.

I wince as I cross my legs together and shut the door . But when  realize the girls aren't getting out of there any time soon, I make my way back to the room everyone's in.

I look around when it starts to get a little clearer to find Kairi or Alejandro or Mattia. But I don't see any of them.

I wander farther into the dance circle when I see a guy wearing a red shirt who's tall. And he's talking to a girl who's holding onto his arm. I look around angrily and grab a drink off the floor thats in a cup. Picking it up I start yelling "fuck you!" And throw it on the guy which earns stares from people.

The girl he's talking to has her mouth agape and then someone yells at me.

"Dawn what are you doing!" And as I turn around I realize the guy I threw the drink at wasn't Mattia. Because Mattia's staring at me from the opposite side of the room with the boys next to him.
