Chapter 44:

MATTIA'S P.O.V.

"Why am I here?" She says. Her tone's kinda loud which makes my jaw clench

I don't know why she's here. But she shouldn't be. She shouldn't be here because how the fuck am I supposed to look her in the eyes and see her the same way I used to after she full blown made out with a stranger in his car.

Well, he's a stranger to me

Aiden.. or whatever his name is. Asshole doesn't give a shit about my feelings. I'm pretty sure she told him about me.. I know Dawn and I know she has to tell everybody everything about her life

"Yes, why are you here" I reiterate the question as I place the bag of snacks on the floor

"Guys,calm down" Kairi says

"Because I can be, so fuck off" she says. I begin to approach her not knowing what my intentions are, when Ale steps in between

"Stop" he says as he blocks me.

"No, Ale. It's okay, let him do something. I'd like to see what he'd do" she says mockingly

"Who the fuck invited you over" I ask

"Kairi. Now who invited you because it seems like you just walked in without the invite"

"Kairi's my friend"

"He's mine too, the fuck" she says louder

"Mattia" Ale says shaking his head "just sit down,bro"

I roll my eyes as I push him off of me lightly and sit on the small velvet couch

And then it's quiet. She doesn't look at me or say anything. But I know she sees me staring at her.

"How's your boyfriend" I say randomly

She turns to  me and winces "my what?"

"The guy you were making out with in that car the other day"

"He isn't my boyfriend" she says

"So now you make out with strangers?"

"What?" She says as she looks over at Kairi

He shifts his gaze to me and sighs. "You guys needa stop. It's ridiculous"

" he kissed me"

"So you just go with it? I didn't see you try and pull away"

"Why the fuck do you care!" She says laughing/yelling as she shakes her head.

Ale stands and walks out the room with Roshaun and Alvaro. "Be right back" Roshaun says as they walk out.

I look over at Kairi who I see begins to stand as well. "I need water" he rushes to the door and shuts it behind him

"Well I'm not staying in here with this asshole" Dawn says and she rushes to open the door but it doesn't seem to open.

"Kairiiii" she says as her voice gets louder. She bangs on the door. "Why isn't it opening"

"It can lock from the outside" his voice says from the opposite side of the door.

Oh my god you've gotta be kidding me

"And I'm not opening it until you work this bullshit out" he says

"Shit" she mutters.

She stands far away from me and glances at me occasionally

"May I help you?" I say

"What's your fucking problem. Why're you being such an ass"

"Because you kissed that guy that you literally just met"

"And? Your point is? You kissed Jenna. And you knew how much of a bitch she was to me"

"I know"

"So why did you do it"

"Because" I pause "I don't know"

"You don't know" she repeats as she rolls her eyes

" you said you lost feelings for me"

She furrows her brows. "Huh? You said the same to me"

"I only said that because I saw you with that guy"

"Okay I don't know what you're getting at here but can you just tell me what's your point is?"

"My point is that I've known you for years and we tried so hard to make things work and you let someone else enter your life so easily"

"Because you cheated!" She yells. "We had sex! I let you have sex with me and you still go and kiss multiple other girls!"

"But I was intoxicated multiple times!"

"And I was never intoxicated and I never thought of cheating on you! It never crossed my mind!"

"Can't you understand it was a mistake? I wouldn't do that to you intentionally"

I see her eyes watering. "You ruined our friendship and our relationship that I waited so long to actually be in with you"

"I'm sorry"

"No" she shakes her head. "You make me feel like this is my fault. We were in a car accident! I was by your side. I trusted you with a lot and I thought you were on my side. These are things that you don't just go through with anyone!"

"I never doubted that!"

"But your points aren't even valid! Give me one valid reason why you did what you did"

"I don't have one" I say quietly

"Exactly"

I walk up to her slowly

"Get away from me" she says shaking her head

I get closer to her and outstretch my arms.

"I don't wanna hug you" she says

"Shhh" I say as I wrap my arms around her back. It's kinda weird to me.. to be this close to her. She smells so sweet... and it makes me find myself kissing her forehead. She hugs me back tightly and we stand there by the doorway for a few minutes when someone opens the door

"Guys they made up" Kairi says as he shouts to the others

"Finally bro" Alvaro yells as him and the rest of the boys make their way upstairs. They look at us and smile

"Bro your plan really worked" he says to Kairi and everyone smiles

But I don't know what we are now.
