Chapter 11:

MATTIA'S P.O.V.

As I walk to my car, I can hear Leah shouting at me. "Hey! Pretty boy! Wait up, did you forget we have a project to finish?"

Since when does she care about school work.

I unlock the car door and enter it when she comes up to my window and gestures for me to roll it down.

"What the fuck do you want from me?"

"Don't try and run away" she laughs as she looks inside the car. "Unlock the door"

I stare at her with a straight face as I'm slumped in the drivers seat.

"Now"

I flick the switch and the car unlocks. She enters and looks at me as she widens her eyes. "Wow. I haven't been in here for months"

"That was your choice, wasn't it?"

"Yeah but I mean you clearly don't mind. You have a new hoe, don't you?" She moves her hair into her shoulders as she places her phone in her purse.

"She isn't a hoe. She's my best friend."

She laughs loudly, her face turning a slight pink.

Disgusting

"Funny" she says. "It's funny how fast you've moved on"

I turn my face to her and squint my eyes. "It's been months. Almost a year. So yes, I've moved on"

She nods as she looks forward. She didn't say anything to me, not a word, until we reached her house.

What a bitch, I fell for.

We enter her room and she gestures to her bed. I sit on the corner and she takes out the work we've done in class.

"I have to go somewhere after this so hurry up"

She rolls her eyes. "Where? Your bitch's place?"

"You know what, I can't deal with you. I'm fucking leaving" I begin to get up and I grab my bag but she grabs my hand.

"Please" she looks away from me. "I miss you" she says, quietly

I don't know why but her saying that has some sort of effect on me. All the good times I've had with her begin flushing back to me and a weird feeling takes over.

I sit down and she inches closer to me. "I know I fucked up, but we can still make it work, right?" She kisses my cheek.

But what about Dawn? What about everything I have going on with her? I can't just forget about her, she means so much to me. "I have to go" I stand up and begin walking down the stairs to the front door.

"I know you'll be back! And one day I won't want you anymore!" she says I walk to my car. I get inside and close out everything.

I want to be with Dawn. Only dawn.
