Pool Party...

We move outside, deciding to eat in the open again. This was one of the things we did at least once a day, sometimes talking on the phone with mom or just relaxing as the night falls. I'd grown more used to the fresh air, though I still needed to get a smoke at least once a day, there was an inbuilt hate towards how it made the air smell. Partying wasn't even appealing anymore. I myself was shocked when I'd declined a offer last night because I wanted to spend more time with her. It felt as if time had relapsed stopping at a moment where I didn't even know about either of the two things I depended on just a month ago. Both di and maa were happier knowing I was over my alcoholic phase.

S - "Sidharthhh.. baat sun. Woh kal Sargun ne party pe invite kiya hai. Ravi ki wife. Toh main soch rhi thi jaun ya na jaun?"

Si - "Ja na baby? Agar invite kiya hai toh"

S - "Tu chalega? Ravi ne tere ko bhi call kiya tha, pta hai mujhe."

Si - "Mnn nhi hai baby, firse woh sab expect hoga mere se, drinking challenges, shots. Nhi chahiye mujhe woh."

S - "Party pe thori bohut chall ti hai Bebu.. Pr hadd mein. Nafrat mujhe hai, Usske kaaran tu kyun khraab krega apna ?"

I shook my head deciding to put away the plates and lay against her. We'd built a habit of constantly touching each other, non-sexually. Our hands or legs would be entangled with each other's without it feeling weird.  I lay my head in her lap cuddling into her stomach, while my arms rested over her waist.

S - "Bebu? Please na? Pool party hai aur mujhe paani se dar lagta hai. Agar kisi ne gira diya toh dub jaungi main."

She mumbled softly caressing my hair. For someone who loved the beach and walking in water so much I was surprised to know that she was aqua phobic. "Woh toh mere rehte bhi ho skta hai na baby? Aur Ravi ne toh bola nhi pool party kr k."

S - "Abhi thori der pehle decide hua. Phone dekhta kaha hai tu? Aur agar tere rehte hua toh at least mujhe yeh toh hoga ki shayad bcha hi le mujhe. Full on movie wala scene.. hyeee ab toh main khud hi kud jaungi"

I laughed pulling my head closer into her stomach. She shifted in her seat at the contact. "Gadhi, chal theek hai subah lekin tu peene pe gussa nhi hogi.. pakka?"

The last thing I wanted right now was for her to be mad at me before we began packing for the trip we'd be going on along with the University. Knowing her, she'd pack outfits like the one she was in just to bug me.

S - "Hmm pakka nhi karungi. Vaise meri outfit tere liye surprise hai..."

Si - "Abey yaar.. chup chap dikha pehle. Phir se dupatta band k chal paregi."

S - "Kuch toh fun hone de Sidharth? Aise karega toh tu mujhe kal jeans aur turtleneck mein laike jayega."

I smiled at the accuracy. That was exactly what I'd do. Not because I didn't want her to have fun but because I knew how my friends were. On top of that, pool party and alcohol don't sit well too long. Upar se Sargun aur uske Punjabi friends. Jokes get out of hands sometimes. Kabhi kabhi toh Ravi bhi tense ho jata hai... and they're married. Fir mera toh bnn ya hai na? Ughhhhhhh, ik toh yeh ajj subah se already surprise k naam or shock de rhi hai aur ab. I'm already on the edge of losing my all to her.. agar kal sach mein bikini ya one piece pehn k aa gyi toh pta nhi kya hoga mera.

I slightly bite her stomach through the flimsy black cloth, before sitting up against the cushions. Her breath hitched making me look over at her now, red face. My eyes found hers reading the immense shock. She looked back over to the strings of building infront of ours, biting against her lip to keep from smiling. "Baby yeh mt kiya kro.." I whisper not reality I'd said it out loud. Hopefully she didn't hear it.
