January 26 :

I paced around the room waiting for Sidharth to arrive. The entire day he hadn't even mentioned my birthday once. He was acting like nothing was coming up. He'd left for the event 3 hours ago not giving me an exact time as to when he'd be back. The rest of the morning I was busy ironing his clothes and making sure the driver and car was ready before I'd let him leave while he made some calls I wasn't interested in much. 10 minutes ago he'd called saying he was coming back home, I beamed hearing that, he'd be back before 12. I pulled on a long white t shirt and black shorts sitting myself atop the kitchen counter with my ice cream deciding to wait here until he was back. I plugged in my headphones moments later deciding to listen to a few new songs.

I looked up a whole later feeling a gaze on me. Like predicted Sidharth stood at the door pleasantly staring at me. I took off my headphones passing him a sheepish smile not knowing how much of my crazy dance he'd seen. He let out a soft laugh walking over to me. "Abey kr Na? Meri exclusive performance beech mein kyun rok di?" He chimed biting into my cheek.

S - "Tu Schi mein kutta kyun bnn jata hai? Aur kab aaya? Mujhe bula-"

Si - "Abhi sirf 5 minute pehle aur bulaya isiliye nhi kyunki tu cute lg rhi thi. Yeh ice cream aur woh dance bilkul ek cute moti panda Ki trah"

I gave him a glare punching his chest with my fist. He still hadn't even mentioned my birthday. I'd been announcing it all week long there's no way he could've forgotten. I gasped feeling his lips on mine the next second, sucking away the sweetness of the ice cream. "Baby, jaldi se jacket pehn ke aau humein jaana hai abhi, kal ek chota sa shoot hai idhar paas resort mein aur tum saath chalogi kyunki already bohot distance ke liya aur tera idhar koi kaam nhi hai toh vo and get a warmer jacket and pants. Baaki sab already packed hai. "

S - "Hain?! Main nhi jaa rahi kahi.. bataya bhi nhi. Ab khud hi jaa main bhi jaungi"

Si - "Baby, choice nhi hai. Ab jacket tum pehn k aaogi ya fir uthake leke jaun?"

I sighed stepping into the room and wrapping my blanket over myself in no mood to change. He doubled over in laughter seeing me, sending my anger up a notch. I ignored him moving down towards the car when I felt him wrap his hands around my torso waddling the both of us down the steps. He sat me in the car racing over to the other side himself.

Si - "Baby gussa kyun hai?"

"Nhi hu" I replied hugging my knees into my chest moving the belt strap behind my back. I had no idea where we were headed and him not even acknowledging my birthday was making me want to cry.

Si - "Birthday wale din aise naaraaz hoke nhi baith Te baby, main bas dekhna tha ki kya karegi. I was expecting my face to be broken aur Tu roh rahi hai? Duplicate Shehnaaz toh nhi hai na Tu?"

S - "Tu kyun tang krta hai mujhe? Mujhe lga tu bhul gaya"

"Shh idhar aa, sorry.. apni baby ka birthday nhi bhulunga kabhi bhi. Maa aur terese double daant nhi khani mujhe. Tu idhar royi aur unhe pta lga toh kal tak flight mein hi fight club khol dengi" I let out a chuckle nuzzling into him. I wasn't surprised that he'd let his stance go at the mere tear drop. The real, raw Sidharth was like that. A man built of emotions. I pushed back punching his arm harder than usual.

S - "Tu resort chal fight club main kholungi, Kutta kitna excited thi main birthday k liye aur tu apne kaam mein mera poora din waste krega"

Si - "Fight club se mujhe koyi problem nhi hai, lekin if I can stop you then you can't stop me."

"Tere dimaag mein kuch aur baat aati bhi hai?" I ask moving my attention to the outside roads. I had no clue where we were driving to thanks to the dark mirrors and cloudy night sky restricting the only light that would light up these mostly empty roads. I looked around the car shrinking as I found the snacks set against the back seat. Sidharth smirked giving me a wink. I got up turning around and picking out one of the kullfi's he'd set up in the tub full of ice. These were rarely ever available. I'd only had around 2 this entire punjab trip. I sat back in my seat savouring the whole thing to the most reaching for another one when Sidharth grasped my hand wrapping it with his and planning it back against my thigh.
