"No. Christian bailed last minute," I answered.
"Do you want to go together?"
"Uh I don't know. I might just fly solo."
He looked down, "Okay."

I woke up after having yet again another confusing dream. I sighed and got off my bed to open my curtains to look down at the streets below. I grabbed a hoodie, pulling it over my head and heading out of the apartment down to the café. I checked my phone for the time reading: 10:38am Friday, February 19
I asked for a peppermint mocha coffee and found a table to sit at near the window. It's a chilly morning, surprising me since this is California let alone Los Angeles. I awaited my coffee in complete silence. I haven't spoken to anybody and my plans today consist of binging Netflix shows in bed. Once I got my coffee and blew on it to cool it down I took a few quick sips.
