I stumble into my dorm room at five fifty-three in the morning. I spent the entire night out in the woods with Chandler staring at rocks and it feels like my head is going to explode. There has to be something that I'm missing. It can't be this hard I literally refuse.

"Ophelia?"

I look around the room to try and make out which one of them is awake right now. My eyes fall on Cheryl, she smiles at me softly, "What are you doing?"

"I passed out in the common room, I was just heading to bed. Sorry." I go over to my trunk at the end of my bed and start looking for my pyjamas.

Cheryl sits up in her bed a little more, "You don't have to go to your bed if you don't want to."

I look at her over my shoulder, she's properly sitting up in her bed now, and looking at me with her head tilted just a little bit.

I smile and look back to my trunk, "Yeah? Cause I thought you made it pretty clear last year that you didn't want to do it again."

"Yeah well, that was last year." She says softly.

I feel a little uncomfortable changing into my pyjamas with her looking at me the way she is.

"Go to bed Ophelia, Gardner broke up with her last night," Cassie grumbles from her bed by the lake. She rolls over and looks at Cheryl without bothering to lift her head from her pillow, "You really think that crawling into bed with my sister is a good thing to do right now? Not only are you trying to use her as a rebound after you shat all over her last year, but you're also trying to fuck her in the same room as her twin?"

"Merlin's beard," I whisper to myself. Nothing that Cassiopeia said was wrong though. I dated Cheryl for about half a year last year. Only to find out that she was sleeping with Gardner the entire time and using me more of an experiment than anything. I guess you could call it my first heartbreak. Only Chan, Cass, and Cheryl know that it even happened honestly.

Cheryl huffs and curls back up under her blankets. I look over at Cass to thank her but her eyes are already closed again and it's bad enough I've already woken her up once tonight.

I crawl into my bed and pull the covers up to my chin. Cassie's eyes snap open and she looks over at me, which isn't that hard to do because our beds are practically touching, "Good you're in your bed." She whispers, "So you're not totally stupid."

"Is that really how little you think of me? That I would crawl into bed with her after all that emotional manipulation of last year?"

Cassie sighs, "I'm just making sure your head is on straight."

"Nothing about me is straight."

Cassie tosses a spare pillow at me and I make sure that it doesn't hit my head. While I'm fully recovered and over all my flying PTSD and stuff from my concussion, a small hit on the head from something like a pillow will give me one of the worst headaches and I don't need to be dealing with that while I'm dealing with school, the resurrection stone, and quidditch.

Fuck. Quidditch. I've nearly forgotten I have to make posters and set up try-out times for the pitch.

Now, despite being absolutely exhausted, and sore from changing from weasel to human so many times tonight; I can't sleep. All I can think of is my open seeker position on the team, and the first Slytherin game happening the first weekend of November. Yeah, that gives me two whole months to whip my team into shape, but it also only gives me two months to make sure that they know all the new cues and different plays that I was working on all summer.
