"Why are you leaving so suddenly?" Both mother and son sat on her bed and watched her pack her bag. "Do you want to leave behind him?" Chan asked. Y/n looked at him. "He'll be ok. And he must be glad to see me leaving." Someone knocked on the door aggressively. "Y/n! Are you here? Y/n?" Chan got up and opened the door.

"Jeongin?" He was panting hard as if he had just come through a race. Chan looked over to his mother. "Mom, let's leave them alone." She nodded and stood up as he came inside. "Y/n-"

"Don't try to persuade. I've made up my mind. And, I don't belong here. I had some hope but, I don't think that will work anymore." Jeongin looked at her deeply. "The hope.... is Hyunjin, isn't it?" She stopped her actions. "Something like that." She sighed and continue to work. "What about me then?" She turned around. "In your heart, I mean nothing, right?" She knew what he was talking about. She looked down.

* I have to do this. *

She looked up. "I don't have a heart anyway." She said in the most mean and coldest tone. He felt himself breaking down into millions pieces. "Even though you are my friend, I won't stay for you." Jeongin started laughing. "I mean...wow...Just wow. I'm speechless, Y/n. I'm speechless." Biting his lower lip, he stormed out of the room. She sat on her bed and held her forehead. "I've messed things up more than they were. Sorry, Jeongin."

---

"I've acknowledged you as my daughter-in-law. But, for now, I want you not to meet him nowadays." Jiho muddled. "Why? Did he say something?" He nodded before continuing. "What he said is not important. But I won't hide it from you that, he is a mess right now. It's better to give him some time. I'll make him agree."

---

He opened his contacts. After hesitating for the hundredth time, he chooses to close his phone. "Mr. Han." He called out. "Mr. Han?" He called out again. The door opened. But, it was not the person he was expecting. "Mr. Han is busy in the company," Seungmin explained as he kept a paper bag on the table. "You just rest well to your recovery." Seungmin noticed the bored expression on Hyunjin's face, though he was looking straight and not at him. "I've been here for the whole day. Why doesn't anyone visit me?"

"Am I a ghost or what?" Hyunjin glared at him. "I-I mean that we have kept it locked that you're in the hospital. From the media and even the company." Hyunjin's lips pouted out a little. "By others, I mean not others...You know what I mean?"

Seungmin looked away trying to control his chuckle. "I totally know what you mean." He opened the bag and took out a small ice cream tub. "Here. Have some mint choco." Hyunjin looked at the ice cream with a disgusted face. "Shut the fuck up. This shit tastes like toothpaste."

Seungmin gasped. "Never disrespect my mint choco like that. If you don't like it just say that you don't wanna eat." Hyunjin rolled his eyes. Seungmin opened the ice cream himself and started eating it in front of him. Hyunjin looked at his phone once again. This time, he didn't think for long. He picked it up and dialed her number.

She picked up her phone from the table. "Should I?" She cleared her throat once and picked up. "Hello?" She said. "Y/n, Where are you?" She looked over at her bag. "I'm home. Do...Do you have something urgent to say this late?" Seungmin was listening to their conversation. "Yeah I-I-I, Of course, I have something urgent." He looked over to Seungmin. "Ask her to visit." Seungmin prompted him.

"You got me admitted. Shouldn't you come to compensate?" Seungmin facepalmed. "I got it." She said. Hyunjin looked at his phone. "She hung up on me!" He shouted. "Well, what do you expect, prince charming?" Seungmin said sarcastically. "You were supposed to ask her to visit. And what the heck was 'compensate'. Are you serious right now?" Hyunjin looked at him cluelessly. "Didn't you tell me to say that?"

"You- Just call her again. Hurry up." He called up again. "I've sent the compensation to the company's account. Remember to check it." Hyunjin frowned. "What do you mean? You want to deal with me by money?" Seungmin choked on his ice cream. "What else do you want me to do?" Hyunjin sighed. "The doctors told me you sent me here. When you met my dad, did he say something?"

"No. I left after handing you to them." Y/n's mind was revolving around the scene. "Listen, my sickness is not your fault. I-I've thought about our relationship for a long time. I-If you're available-" He couldn't complete his sentence. "I'm not." She breathed out.

"What did you say?" He wasn't ready to believe his ears. "I'm kinda busy. I don't have time to accompany you to the hospital or to take care of you." She said coldly and hung up again. She threw her phone away and looked at the view in front of her. The room was empty as the day she came in. "Though I don't need these stuff, I want to keep them as a memory"

"What did she say?" He asked examining his sadden face of his. "She said she will not come." He said gazing down. "Go outside. I want some time alone." Seungmin understood his situation and didn't question further, walking out. Hyunjin again felt the loneliness around him. Soon the door again opened. "By the way, I wanted to tell you that yesterday night I saw Y/n walking out of your room. And she looked very tired and dizzy."

Hyunjin widened his eyes. "Are you sure?" He nodded. "I knew someone called out! You, come inside." He pointed at him. Seungmin came inside. "Do me a favor. Call Y/n by your name, tomorrow. I want to stop guessing." He nodded. "I'll do it."
