Erza's POV

I've been trapped with Jellal for about an hour now. I absolutely despise him. Jellal never spoke for the hour and we've been sitting, trapped here. We can't use any of our magic because there are magic blockers. My day was already sucky to begin with anyway. Apparently, we were both assigned the job. The whole entire guild had to choose our most strongest mage, which was apparently, me. Then, Master Makarov was informed that there will be a second guild joining on this mission. The members were unknown and were best and known for being able to hide in the shadows. They were called cowards and wimps for hiding in the shadows, but I always believed that they could fight.

I approached the job board. There was no new jobs and they were mostly for S-class mages, but the jobs kept filling up. Apparently, Natsu had run off with Lucy, Gray, Juvia and Happy. 'Great.' I thought to myself. 'Just great.' Mira then approached me so suddenly and pinned a new job request on the board. I picked it up and it said:

S-class Mage Needed!

We need an S-class mage from two individual guilds who will be able to destroy.

Please both of you meet at Magnolia Park on ~

'Um... Mira?' I approached her with the job flyer in hand. 'What was this job flyer supposed to say?'

'I don't know, Erza.' She was busy cleaning the glasses and plates from the previous guild's lunch. 'I received this when I came into the guild today. It needed a bit touching-up and I recovered most of it because it was soggy when I got it and yeah, I posted it on the board. Another guild has responded to it by the way, and they usually send this to two guilds and see if they accept.'

'Who is this other guild?'

'I don't know, Erza, but I heard they were a really tough guild that lived up to its standards.'

'Hm... OK, I'll take this job, Mira!' I slammed the job flyer on the table and Mira stamped it.

'You're good to go, Erza!'

I walked off with the job flyer in hand and started packing. The meeting was in about an hour. Huh, enough time to get ready and pack.

I arrive at Magnolia Park, ready to kick butt. A strange man, slightly taller than me and I was facing his neck. 'You must be the member who accepted the other half of the job.' The man started.

'Tell me who you are now.'

'I'm not telling you, but I know who you are.... Erza Scarlet.'

'Of course everybody knows me... They just had to.... Damn it.'

Mystery Man and I are currently walking to where we're supposed to battle... The awkward moment between us is so tense... 'That man looks familiar. There's just something about him that makes me want to.... Ugh, why am I even thinking about this?'

We never talked on the train and we usually never talked except about battle tactics and what not.

After we got off from the train station and walked over to where we were supposed to go.

'HOLY!' The ground beneath us collapsed and we both fell in an unreachable hole.

'You OK?' I ask.

'I hear the Mystery Man coughing. 'I'm fine.'

'What was that?'

'Don't know.'

'Looks like we're trapped in this hole until we can figure this out.'

'That might take a while.'

'Look, Erza, I'm sorry for all the shit I've put you through.'

'W-w-what?'

'At the Tower of Heaven... I kicked you out and it wasn't fair.'

'J-J-Jellal?' I stutter.

'You finally recognized me. I was never fair to you and after I got possessed by Zeref, it threw me off my game. I destroyed the Magic Council and also killed Simon... I'm sorry for tearing away a person you loved. I'm sorry for almost killing Master Makarov and the rest of the Council. And I'm sorry for everything.'

'Jellal.' I look down at my hands and pity him in my mind.

'I may never forgive your actions, Jellal, but I will forgive you. Plus, you banishing me from the Tower of Heaven pushed me forwards.

'Heh,' I hear Jellal smirk. 'I haven't heard you forgiving people lately, Erza.'

'Depends on their actions. Hurt any members of Fairy Tail, you will never see the light of day. But in your case, I had to make an exception.'

'Why?'

'I have my own personal reasons and also personal Fairy Tail matters. I never leave family because they are what pushed me forward. The death of loved ones and I suffered the most out of all of the Fairy Tail members. It doesn't change the past, but it can change the future.'

'Those are... Some wise words, Erza.'

'I forgive you, Jellal, but it won't mean I'll forgive and forget the past.'

'I understand. I should've atoned for my sins.'

'Sorry won't matter now, Jellal. Simon would've wanted us to push forward, no matter what.'

'I trust you,' I hear Jellal say.
