Y/N's POV

I've been deaf ever since I was born. All I can hear is nothing. It's just like a silent classroom. I've taught a few of my friends on how to sign language so that I could communicate with them. I always carried a whiteboard and a marker with me, so that I could talk to the owners of shops or anything like that.

Today was the day that my good friend, Levy took me to join Fairy Tail. I did have powerful magic, but I didn't have magic to make me hear again, so I was stuck with hearing no beautiful sounds.

'Come on, Y/N. Let's go meet my other friends.' Levy gestures with her hands and I nod my head. She opens the guild doors and I see two guys fighting, tables full of guild members and two waitresses. 

I turn to look at the door when I'm knocked from behind.

'Yah!' I yelp out. I turn around to see a pink-haired guy lying on top of me with a white scarf around his neck.

'Sorry.' He mouths.

'What? I can't hear you.' I say and he seemed to not notice.

Wow, now look who's the deaf one.

The pink-hair guy charges his fist into a ball of flame before his fist collided with the jaw of another male.

Levy helps me up and a short guy with balding spots and a white cloak comes up to me. He grins at me before talking.

Levy starts signing to me as the male in front of me talked.

'He says: Welcome to Fairy Tail. Are you willing to join?' Levy signs. I nod my head vigourously. 

'Do you possess any magic abilities?' Levy signs to me again. I wave my hand over the chandelier. The lights flickered before the whole place went dark and the electricity was in my hands.

The short man stared at me with wide eyes and an open mouth.

'He is the Master of Fairy Tail.' Levy signs to me again. I bow towards the Master.

'His name is Master Makarov.'

'Y/N.' I say before shaking his hand.

'Are you deaf?' Levy signs to me from the Master's words. The only respond he got was a nod. He nodded back at me and seemed to call someone. The same pink-haired guy came up to me and introduced himself.

'Hey, you're the girl I bumped into earlier. I'm Natsu.' He grins widely. Me, unable to understand a word he said looked over to Levy, who started signing at me.

'Hi, Natsu! I'm Y/N. Um... A precaution. Just saying, I'm deaf. I can't hear you.' Natsu looks at me with wide eyes.

'Oh, is that why you didn't respond to me when I fell on top of you?' I look over to Levy again who is signing. I nod my head in response.

'Whew...' He lets out a large sigh.

The rest of the day was spent by me teaching Natsu how to sign language.
