Rogue X Reader: Possessed

Time period: When Rogue gets possessed by the 'Shadow' and assaults Gajeel (Grand Magic Games)

Y/N's POV

I really love Rogue. I do. I mean, we can work long-distance and most of the time, when we go out to our individual jobs, we somehow manage to bump into each other.

Today is the final day of the Grand Magic Games. I'm really excited, but I don't know who I'm versing up against. I'm in Fairy Tail whilst Rogue's in Sabertooth. I kinda don't wanna battle him, because I don't want to hurt him. Master Makarov considers me to be one of the most powerful Fairy Tail guild members and mage and that kinda frightens me.

'Hey, Y/N.' I hear Natsu whispering to me.

'Yeah, Natsu?'

'You might bump into your boyfriend, today.' I blush at his statement.

'TODAY! IS THE FINAL DAY OF THE GRAND MAGIC GAMES! FAIRY TAIL AGAINST SABERTOOTH! WHO WILL WIN! PICK YOUR CHAMPIONS TO REPRESENT YOUR TEAMS. 5 CHAMPIONS!'

Master Makarov approaches the guild and picks out the champions, consisting of myself, Erza, Laxus, Mirajane and Natsu. We all get released into a town where we run into our opponents to fight against.

After splitting away from the guild, I embarked to find my opponent in the city.

I finally come to a halt at a building, after running into many of my guild mates. I decide to rest up, in case someone wanted to surprise attack me. I hear the door open and see a shadow. Footsteps surrounded the building and its echo. I took a closer look and Rogue was walking inside.

'Rogue?' Rogue turns around and I'm suddenly hit and whipped in the stomach. My back hits a stone pillar. I hear the commentator and suddenly see the camera. I pry my eyes to look away from the camera's lens.

'Rogue...?' He tries to attack me again. I suddenly block his shadows' punches and successfully deflect them all. After numerous attempted attacks and many more successful attacks, Rogue was laying on the stone, cold floor.

Rogue's POV

My mind has been taken over by shadows. Every time my shadows would try to hurt Y/N, I would try to pull them back, to make the punches slightly softer, but instead, the shadow's powers would grow stronger and would start hitting harder. I flinched at every blood-conflicting punch and kick that my shadow would have to offer Y/N.

'Kill her.' My shadows say, in my mind, I try to fight the shadows, but they only grow stronger and my mind was now descending into the shadows. The shadows lifted a barely-moving Y/N by the neck, pushed her against a stone pillar and started choking her. I saw her desperate attempts to try and break free of the shadows' grip, but to no avail, they were too strong.

'No, I won't. I won't kill my girlfriend.' I try with all my might to push the shadows away and break Y/N out of its grip. I hear gasping on Y/N's end and see her down on the floor, holding her neck. She then tries to stand up, but before she could, she gets knocked around by my shadows.

She tries to stand again and when my shadows tried to hammer her down, she blocked its attack and struggled to hold against its power, due to her many injuries. She successfully blocks the hammering punch, pushes it out of the way and decides to use her Purgatory Dragon Slayer Magic.

It instantly defeats me and my shadows, but I know that my Y/N will be safe and sound.
