My eyes.

They were glowing. Actually glowing.

And they were gold.
I mean, in the reflection in the water they seemed to gleam yellow like the sun, but I'd like to believe it was golden.

I blinked once. I blinked twice.

Nope, still there.

My wolf.
She actually came out.

I successfully got back like two hours later since I didn't really know where I was.
Okay, two hours may be an exaggeration but I was suddenly so tired it felt like forever.

I literally felt drained.

I even tripped and fell and no doubt opened up the cut on my forehead again.
One minute I'm so coordinated and the next I'm just a tripping mess.
Guess it's just me again.

When I entered the house I heard arguing voices coming from Latifah's room. Which was probably my fault.
I should have just done the wise thing and gone to my room.

But of course I didn't.
I never do.

At this point, I don't even think that you're capable.

I held the door knob and entered Latifah's room.

"Damon listen to me wh-"

The voices stopped and their heads snapped in my direction.

Okay maybe I should have gone to my room. Or at least eavesdrop quietly without entering.

You don't say.

Latifah's eyes almost popped out of her head when she saw me.

"Oh good heavens, what happened to you?"

She said moving over to me with her wheelchair and looking at my face.

I probably looked confused at the moment.

What?
She came closer and held my arms inspecting the dirt and scrapes on them.
Come to think of it, I probably dragged mud through the house.

Note to self. Find out and clean your mess up.

"She fell." Damon butted in.

Latifah turned to him with a questioning look.

"She was taking a run by the mountain cliffs and then she fell."

Damon explained.

Or more like lied.

Mountain cliffs?

Falling?

"Mountain cliffs? Adriane, you told me you just wanted to take a walk. "

Latifah looked concerned at my face again.

My face.
Are my eyes still glowing?

No your face is bruised you idiot.

Of course. And probably has a bit of blood too.

And he doesn't want her to know the real cause.

I looked at him.
He just kept a blank expression.

"Yeah, I fell." I told Latifah.
"After you threw me across the forest that is." I added nonchalantly looking over at Damon.

"You did what?!" Latifah shouted turning to look at Damon again.
It was a bit funny watching her though since she didn't quite know yet how to manoeuvre properly with the wheelchair and her glare at him was a bit delayed.
