"Did who do what yet?"

"Elias! Did he propose?"

"Oh, for God's sake. He's not proposing."

"He is, now tell me when!"

"Sophie-"

"Daniel!"

"He is not proposing to Jenna."

"Stop lying to me."

"I'm not."

"Then why were you shopping for engagement rings?"

"Maybe I was getting one for you."

"Nice try, idiot, but I already have an engagement ring."

"What if I want to propose again and this time actually get it right?"

"You can do that if you want but a) I've already got a ring and therefore don't need another, and b) I happen to think both of our proposals were pretty epic so there's no need to do it again."

"Now, when is Elias going to get down on one knee?"

"Before I answer your question, let me ask you this- how friendly are you and Jenna?"

"What do you mean?"

"Do you call, text, Skype and/or use each other to check up on me?"

"She's nice and we get along but we don't check in with each other that often."

"So, you're not BFFs?"

"No."

"In that case... Elias is proposing on September tenth."

"Why such a random date?"

"Ok, not the reaction I thought you'd give."

"Huh?"

"I thought you'd be excited and like, you know, screaming. Instead, you sound disgusted."

"I'm not disgusted. I'm just wondering what's so special about September tenth, that's all."

"It's Elias' birthday."

"Oh. That's... uh..."

"What?"

"Nothing."

"Spit it out, Soph."

"What if she says 'no'?"

"Se won't."

"She might."

"She won't."

"How do you know? Oh, no, you did not!"

"I have no idea what you are talking about."

"You opened your big gob, didn't you?"

"Me? No."

"You stupid, bloody wanker. You accidentally let slip to Jenna that Elias was going to propose. Admit it."

"I admit to nothing."

"You're a terrible liar."

"I never said otherwise."
