"Did you just say 'please'?"

<<As much as it killed me to say it, yes.>>

"What do you need, Jasmine?"

<<I need your help?>>

"Excuse me? Why should I help you?"

<<Because it's for Samuel.>>

"What about Samuel?"

<<He's been acting really weird lately.>>

"Jasmine-"

<<Daniel, please?>>

"Where's Sophie?"

<<What?>>

"Sophie, where is she?"

<<Here.>>

"Then why are you on the phone? Put Sophie on the line?"

"Now, Jasmine!"

"Hey, what's up?"

"What's wrong with my brother?"

"What?"

"Samuel? Jasmine said that he's been acting weird. What's wrong with him?"

"How would I know?"

"Because you're with Jasmine and she seems to think there's something wrong with him."

"Do you want to talk to Jasmine?"

"No, I just want to know what's- Never mind, I'll just call Samuel and ask him what's happening."

"Daniel-"

"Yes, Soph?"

"Are you ok? You've been in a foul mood since yesterday and I can't put my finger on what's going on. So, what's going on?"

"It's nothing, Soph. Look, can we talk about this later? I think I need to check on Samuel."

"Babe?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you. You know you can talk to me about anything, right?"

"I know."

"Then why won't you talk to me about what's bugging you?"

"Because you don't want to really hear it. You said that Jasmine and I had to get along, and I assume that extends to me not being mean about her, so I'm not saying a word."

"What happened now?"

"Oh, you know. The usual."

"Daniel-"

"Yeah, I know. I need to make more of an effort with her."

"Thank you."

"..."

"Daniel?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you ok?"

"Yeah. I need to call Samuel now. I love you, Soph."
