Before we get started, please take note of this link-

It'll take you to the Welcome page of Baby on Board, and then you'll find the prologue chapter to the Fletch-Charlotte story. Here's the cover for it (it's changed since yesterday). Hey, DayDreamer_Vinnie do you see something familiar on the cover?

As for Fletch- get ready to meet him for real on Saturday!

"Ok, random question."

"It can't be as random as some of the stuff you've come out with previously."

"True."

"What's your question?"

"Who is organising the party for Saturday?"

"Um, you?"

"Can't."

"You can't?"

"No. I can't."

"But you apparently love Halloween."

"I do. I just can't plan a party."

"Huh, that's true. You couldn't even plan your own wedding."

"Jerk. I'm with the interior designer on Saturday so I physically cannot help set up the party."

"You're with the interior designer?"

"Daniel, I told you this at the start of the week."

"You did?"

"Yes, right after you said that you were going to Amesbury to measure up for the wedding on Saturday."

"Oh, yeah, that rings a bell."

"So, who will set the party up?"

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Got it! I know someone."

"Me too!"

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?"

"Jasmine!"

"Ok, you were not thinking what I was thinking."

"Why, who did you go with?"

"Fletch."

"No."

"Well, 'no' to your suggestion."

"But-"

"No."

"How is Fletch any better, though?"

"Because he throws some really good parties."

"He's the type to go through my underwear drawer while at the house, on his own, unsupervised."

"So we don't leave him in the house, on his own, unsupervised."

"Glad we're in agreement. I'll call Jasmine now and ask her to supervise."

"Can't we ask someone else?"

"Like?"

"I don't know. Charlotte?"

"I am not having Charlotte anywhere near Fletch! No way. That's like throwing a defenceless kitten into a pride of lions. He'll eat her alive!"

"You have a very low opinion of Fletch."

"Yes, I do."

"And you'd be wrong to think that of him."

"I'm never wrong."

"You are on this one. Despite how he condones himself, Fletch is very loyal. He wouldn't hurt Charlotte."

"Really?"

"Really. He knows if he goes near your sister and deliberately hurts her, then he's no longer my friend. If there's one thing Fletch values more than his hair, it's his friendships."

"..."

"..."

"Still don't like it, though."

"Then, respectfully, that's your problem to work through."

"..."

"..."

"Fine. I've reconsidered. Fletch can set up for the party."

"But with Jasmine supervising, right?"

"Nope. With me supervising. I'll see the interior designer at nine in the morning, get that out of the way, and then I'll come home and supervise Fletch as he sets up."

"Is it April yet?"

"It's barely November."

"So, this isn't an April Fools joke?"

"Nope."

"..."

"..."

"Sure?"

"Positive. Call Fletch and tell him to be at the house by midday."

"..."

"..."

"You're not going to be mean to him, are you?"

"No, Daniel, I am not going to be mean to him. I'm going to give him the chance to prove me wrong."

"This feels like a trap."

"You're very suspicious of me, Danny."

"Maybe because this feels like Invasion of the Bodysnatchers."

"Funny. But you said that Fletch was a good guy, so let me see that side of him."

"Ok. I'll text him now to let him know."

"Great!"

"Good."

"Cool."

"Cool."

"So, are you going to text him?"

"Oh, yeah. Ok, well... I'll see you later. By the way, I'm going to cook-"

"Wait! I'm going to stop you there. No, you are not cooking. Never again. Ever. I'll cook."

"But I'm trying to redeem myself."

"Consider it done, just as long as you don't cook again."

"Fine."

"Oh, thank God."

"Meanie."

"Daniel, focus! Text Fletch."

"Right... ok, bye! I love you."

"Love you, too."
