"Never mind that. What's Jasmine doing?"

"Um... she's outside on her phone."

"And?"

"She's pacing and gesticulating angrily. Why?"

"Because she's currently on the phone to me, yelling and apparently pacing and gesticulating angrily."

"But you're on the phone to me."

"She's called me on my phone, which is why I'm calling you from Samuel's."

"So, why is she yelling at you?"

"Beats me. She called, I answered, and then she starts shouting!"

"Have you upset her in any way?"

"My existence upsets her."

"True. But have you done anything else?"

"Not recently."

"You sure?"

"Daniel?"

"Pretty sure."

"Pretty sure?"

"Ninety-nine per cent sure that I have not upset her in the last seventy-two hours."

"Before that?"

"Before seventy-two hours ago?"

"Yeah."

"How would I know?! Like I said, me breathing probably upsets her."

"Well, you may want to hang up."

"Why?"

"Because Jasmine just stopped pacing and now she's looking seriously pissed off."

"Fuck."

"Mhm. Off you go and grovel."

"For what?! I didn't do anything wrong."

"Just apologise. Women love it when you do that."

"But I have nothing to apologise for."

"Daniel?"

"Yeah?"
