"Ok, I'm here. What exactly am I supposed to be looking for?"

"Samuel's present."

"And what, exactly, does Samuel's present look like?"

"It looks like a record player. Not hard to miss."

"Is it in the entry way?"

"Why would it be in the entry way?"

"Because I don't know where you hid it!"

"Don't yell at me!"

"I'm not!"

"You are!"

"Now I am!"

"See!"

"..."

"..."

"Soph, where is Samuel's present?"

"In the wardrobe."

"Which one?"

"Mine."

"In any particular part?"

"Behind my gowns."

"Ok."

"Wait! Daniel?"

"Yeah?"

"Sorry I yelled."

"Me too."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"..."

"Why did we have the master bedroom up so many bloody stairs?"

"Because you and the architect decided that it would make sense to put it on the second floor."

"Next time, we're putting it on the ground floor. I'm so out of shape."

"Good thing I bought you a gym membership for Christmas then."

"You didn't, did you?"

"No, Daniel. I didn't."

"Good. Ok, so behind your gowns?"

"Yes."

"..."

"..."

"Ok, I got it."

"Great."

"You bought my brother this for Christmas?!"

"Why, what's wrong with it?"

"Nothing. It's really nice. How come you didn't buy me one?"

"I didn't know you wanted one."

"If it's a record player like this one, then yes! I want one."

"I'll get one for you in the Boxing Day sales."

"How thoughtful of you."

"I know. Now, don't forget to bring the wrapping paper and the decoration bag."

"What is a decoration bag?"

"The bag that holds the tape, the ribbons, the tags and the metallic Sharpies."

"Why can't you just go to the shop and buy new ones?"

"Because you can bring me them instead. Plus, it's not exactly I can wrap without the gift. You know, the one you currently have."

"Fine. Do me a favour?"

"What?"

"Have a cup of tea waiting for me when I get back, will you? The drive to London almost killed me, the drive back is going to be worse."

"No worries. I'll even have a mince pie waiting for you."

"Sounds like a plan, Stan."

"I've been called many things before but never Stan."

"It rhymed."

"Sure. I'll see you in a couple of hours. And Daniel?"

"Yeah?"

"Thank you. You're the best."

"I know."

"I love you."

"I love you, too."
