You had started in the lab months ago as the new DNA Analyst. Working the night shift meant that your social life had taken a hit. You knew there was a bet on how long you would last as a lab rat, but you loved it in LA you weren't planning on leaving anytime soon. Nick looked over at you from where he was standing with Greg. "You like her." It was a statement rather than a question. Nick glared at the younger man. "I do not."
"Right, that's way you stare at her." Sara chipped in. She turned the coat she was processing over. Greg turned to his reports. "Here, you take the DNA over to the analyst you totally don't have a crush on." Nick glared at him, grabbing the evidence jars. "I don't have a crush." He walked over to you and Sara turned to Greg. "Ten dollars says he kisses her at work." Greg shook his head as Warrick entered. "Who? Nicky and the DNA girl? Nah, he'll kiss her after work." They watched as Nick flirted with you. But he it didn't look as if he got anywhere. He re-entered the room, "She'll have the results by the end of the day." Warrick looked up, "You ask her out yet?" Nick glared at the group before moving off.
---Later that day---
You were handing Nick the results back and explaining them. You had no idea that Sara, Greg and Warrick along with Catherine were making kissy faces behind your back at Nick. Nick sighed. "You alright, Nick?" He shook his head before kissing you quickly, grabbing the file and walking off leaving you stunned. Sara placed her hand out as the others handed her winnings over. Nick walked past them, grinning.
