Wanda gazed at her girlfriend as she seemingly slept, if it wasn't for the tubes and wires connected to her and the machines she could have just been sleeping. But Wanda knew that wasn't the case, she grasped Jennifer's hand and waited for Tony's answer to the silent question she had asked.

Jennifer Embry flicked the knife and it flew from her hand embedding itself in the dummy's torso. She sighed, she had no powers unlike her girlfriend, Wanda Maximoff. She felt inadequate, she was an S.H.I.E.L.D agent, but she wasn't as good as Natasha. Jennifer felt useless, knowing she was often picked after most of the better agents were already on missions. Wanda and Jennifer were about to go on a mission to stop HYRDA with a few other Avengers. She sighed again, the door slide open and without thinking she threw the knife at the newcomer. Red mist swirled around it and it stopped before it could hit the person who entered, Wanda smiled. "Everything okay?" Her accent was disappearing slightly due to her training with Natasha. Jennifer nodded, giving a slightly forced smile. Wanda smiled back, she figured something was wrong but she didn't push it. She leaned in and kissed Jennifer's cheek. "Ready, my love?" Wanda asked. Jennifer nodded and grabbed her knives and gun.

HYRDA had them all pinned down, Steve was throwing his shield and punching the men that were near him. Natasha and Clint were fighting together protecting the entrance of the buried temple where everyone had taken refuge which S.H.I.E.L.D had wanted them to find when they had blown up HYRDA's missiles. Jennifer and Wanda were behind them helping protect the temple when she noticed a glow. She moved towards the glow, she couldn't help but move towards it. Wanda screamed for her to stop but she just couldn't. Jennifer reached forwards and clasped the stone in her hand, shrieking when it melted into her skin. The power was immense and was seemingly killing her with the intense pain. A flash moved through the forest blasting only the HYRDA agents the team noticed and turned to face their teammate and friend. They tried to reach her before they could reach her, Jennifer collapsed. Wanda got to her first, cradling her head in her lap. They found an Infinity Stone buried in her chest, glowing in the place of her heart. Wanda moved to remove it but it zapped out at her missing her by millimetres. Wanda looked up with tears flooding her eyes, glancing up at Clint. He moved a piece of hair out of Jennifer's eyes and adjusted her position so he could lift her up. Clint lifted the unconscious woman into his arms and took her towards the jet they had taken.

Wanda looked around the lab they had Jennifer in, to study what was wrong and to protect her. She clasped at her lover's hand, "Wake up please, I need you to wake up. I love you and I can't imagine live without you. You are perfect to me and I need you, okay? So, please wake up." She sniffed and wiped at her tears, watching Jennifer's chest rise and fall. Tears dropped onto Jennifer's hand sliding down to the sheets, hiding in the folds. "You are worth something to me, please, please wake up."
