“I didn’t ask you to lie to me but I expected you to use your mind and not hurt me.” She said.

“I freaked out. I’ve been taught that love is a weakness. I’ve never had so much weakness before I met you. Ava never made me feel the way you do. You make me smile. You changed me. I love the way you smile and laugh. I love the way you feel in my arms. I like you are adorable when you’re mad. I hate to see you cry or hurt.” She pushes me.

“What’s your point, Shane? You like all these things about me but love isn’t on your radar?” She asked. I opened my mouth to protest. “Leave me alone.” She said going to walk out the door.

“Don’t let her walk away. You’ll regret it.” Mom said. I growled.

“Shut up.” I snapped. She stood up at walked over to me.

“I am still your mother and you will show me respect. Go after her and tell her how you feel before it’s too late.” She said. I smiled and kissed her cheek.

“Sorry for snapping,” I said. She rolled her eyes. I ran out of the house and saw her walking to her old house. I jumped over the fence and got in the house before she did. I ran upstairs and hid.

“Ugh! He’s such a dick! How are you going to make me fall deeper in love with you and be mad at you?! Men are so confusing!” She yelled walking in the house. I had to stop myself from laughing.

“Hello, Lola.” I heard.

Lola’s P.O.V

I turned around to the person. Lincoln? I sighed. “Lincoln what do you want?” I asked. He smirked.

“Freya.” He said. I rolled my eyes.

“I don’t have the strength to fight with you right now. Freya is with Derek. You just need to move on.” I said. He chuckled.

“Marco may be dead but I still follow him. He wasn’t the only one your daddy made that deal with. Ever wondered what he got in return?” He asked. I looked in his eyes.

“What?” I asked.

“Your father traded your first born for a few 100’s. Which he spent on a car that he planned on taking and leaving you behind. He hated you. He tried to trade you but at the time you were 5 and we needed ones without memory. Shane’s father traded Shane’s first born for the king of the mafia.” My heart hurt.

“Why do you need kids?” I asked.

“To do our bidding of course. We train them from a young age so they know not to question us. All they know is fight and kill. Like James. He traded size because his father got to him. But with your child, we won’t make that mistake.” He said.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“Once you and Shane have sex. I’m going to kill him. Then you have the baby and you die too.” He said.

“Why tell me your plan?” I asked.

“Because you won’t run when you know I have something you want.” He said.

“Everyone I loved died. There’s nothing I want.” He chuckled.

“Shane’s mom is no longer in that room painting. Freya should be on her way to my place in about 5 minutes. Derek without help in the next 5 minutes will bleed out. And Tucker is already locked up.” He said. Where’s Shane?

“Why are you doing this?” I asked.

“I told you. Because your father made a deal with me.” He said.

“I don’t even know where Shane is. He told me he wanted nothing to do with me and left. I don’t know where he is.” I said.

“That’s the glory princess where ever you he’s not long to follow.” He said. I went to say something but a gun shut off and I was stunned. His body hit the ground and I looked at my hands to see if I happened to be holding a gun.

“He was annoying.” I heard Derek say. I looked at him. He was bleeding.

“You’re bleeding,” I said rushing over to him.

“Well duh I was shot.” He said putting his gun away.

“And you’re not dead?” I asked.

“I had surgery when I was 17. Most of my shoulder is metal.” He said.

“So why are you bleeding?” I asked.
