You ran into the console room, panting and out of breath. The doctor was right behind you so you ran to the other end of the console. She tried to get across but you kept moving the opposite way.

"Triangles are the best!" The doctor smiled.

You squeaked as she made another move to get to you. You swiftly moved around the controls, not letting the doctor get anywhere near you.

"Okay okay. How about you prove it then" You suggested, grinning at her.

Her face lit up with an idea and you moved courteously back a few small steps, expecting her to lunge at you with tickles. You saw Yasmin and Graham and Ryan enter the console room to just when the doctor started to talk, switching a few leavers.

"Okay then! There's a planet where they celebrate music all year round. They even sometimes use the music to communicate to each other. That's the one language the TARDIS can't translate for you. Music is a language in itself to be appreciated. And (y/n), they are the biggest developers of musical instruments across that quarter of the universe! We can see which instrument is bought the most" the doctor grinned back.

"Okay. Deal. Then if it's the wonderful triangle, I promise to respect all triangles from then on" you grinned back.

The doctor smiled while she pulled some more leavers and switched a few more switched before coming up to the big leaver to set off. You smiled, holding onto the railings, waiting for take off. Everyone held on. You still held your breath before each take off. It was technically only your second alien planet.

The doctor pulled the leaver and the whole TARDIS shook, making its iconic whoozing noise. You closed your eyes, enjoying the shaky ride and letting the each hum of the TARDIS enter your ears and bring warmth to your body.

It wasn't long until the TARDIS had landed and stopped shaking. You stopped holding onto the barristers and walked behind the doctor to the TARDIS door. She smiled at team TARDIS as you all stood around the door. The doctor opened the door and a bright sunlight hit your face before you even walked out. You squinted your eyes and you followed the doctor and Ryan, Yaz and Graham behind you. Once you'd reached the planet your eyes seemed to have adjusted. You stared in awe at the wonderful landscape.

You weren't outside but seemed to be parked right next to a window. The window showed a beautiful sandy planet, like a while beach with a gently streaming river. The sky was a pale yellow/green colour. You stared at the many creatures moving along the face of the planet. But your eyes were soon averted as you heard the beautiful orchestra music behind you. A smile grew on your lips as you turned around.

You were in a wooden building of some sort. It was majestically large and creatures were dancing on the halls dance floor. You smiled as you stepped in line with the others, looking down at the staircase which led to the dancing.

"Planet musiee, also known as the planet of music" the doctor smiled.

"Well, we're here for the triangles I believe. Or lack of" you smirked.

The doctor gave you a stare which turned into a smile as she nodded, heading down the staircase. You took a good look at these aliens. They were blue with one large tentacle off the top of their heads which swung back down their backs.

"What are these aliens called?" Ryan asked, looking around as well.

"Limbose, they're called the limbose" the doctor replied as she took a turn to one of the corridors off the dance hall.

You smiled as you watched a few more moments at the dancers before catching back up to the doctor. She seemed to know exactly where she was going, so she'd probably been to this planet many times before.

You could see the orchestra behind you as you gave it a glance. There were so many instruments, most of which you'd never seen before. Clearly not earths musical instruments. But one thing that brought a huge smile on your face and threatened to let a laugh escape your lips was that there were plenty of triangles being played. Turning back around, you shook your head, already knowing that the doctor had won their bet. The music was so harmonious and beautiful to listen to. Music always seemed to calm you through everything and it was the only school subject that you still were doing that you were exceptional at, given that you'd already finished art at this point.

The doctor opened a door and stepped confidently inside. You all followed after her.

"Ah, Doctor! It's so good to see you again!" The limbose smiled, getting up from her work and greeting the doctor with a hug which she chuckled at and gladly hugged back.

You smiled at the two, already accepting that you were going to die of laughter from the tickling you were about to get. She was right! There were several strange and beautiful instruments but the only one you could recognise in her room was the triangle. You looked up to see Ryan and Yaz and Graham all smiling too, knowing what was to come.

"So, Michelle. These are my good friends, most of which you've already met but I have a new friend too! (Y/n) this is Michelle, Michelle (y/n)." The doctor greeted you two.

You smiled, waving a hi at her.

"(Y/n) here doesn't believe that a triangle is as important as it is! I'm here to prove her wrong" the doctor smiled smugly to which you smiled, hanging your head.

"Well (y/n), a triangle brings the music to life. It adds that special touch to just send it from being a good piece to being a beautiful, light, amazing piece! Triangles are probably the most important instrument in my opinion. Plus, almost anyone can play it. Did you know, a triangle is the only instrument that is known across the whole of the universe! That's why they sell so well" Michelle smiled.

You looked up to a very smug doctor and amused friends. You smiled, walking around and then looking back at the doctor.

"Okay. Genuinely this time, I do actually believe a triangle is really important. I mean, it's the only instrument known across every corner of the universe! That's so awesome!" You smiled, looking around you to the alien instruments.

The doctor squealed, jumping up and down.

"That means I win the bet! I was right, as always" the doctor smiled.

You smiled back, then turning back around so your face faced the and they couldn't see the sadness in your eyes. It wasn't the fact that you'd lost the bet or anything. You didn't care about that. It was what the doctor said. How she was always right. You weren't bitter or anything and didn't feel like she was being a snob, but you felt worse about yourself. Not because of the doctor, just the fact that you always feel like you are never right. Never right when it comes to your school work and never right in the exams. That was why you were failing. You were never right! You envied everyone's ability to simply understand thing so easily. You wanted that. Your (e/c) eyes closed as you sighed, trying to snap yourself out of these thoughts. You knew all to well that one thought led to another. But you really didn't want to go through this mental battle in the middle of this conversation, on a planet where we were supposed to be having a laugh. You couldn't break down here! No! But it was always difficult to fight the feeling of being a failure.

"Right then! Now that I've proven my point I think we should go and watch the orchestra live" the doctor smiled, snapping you out of your trance.

Your (e/c) eyes flew open and you turned around, smiling at the team.

"I love live music" you smiled, walking up to the others.

"Yeah, me too. Though you still haven't taken us to see Elvis" Graham moaned.

"That's true. Elvis is someone we all wanna see" Yaz nodded in agreement.

Ryan smiled, also nodding.

"One thing at a time. Come on, there's loads of alien instruments I want to show you out there" The doctor replied, walking out, waving bye to Michelle.

You followed and smiled, realising just how much you loved music. Maybe it was a distraction from school but you didn't care. Travelling with the doctor in itself was technically a distraction. You just wanted to admire the music of this alien world.
