13th Doctor x reader

Reunion

You smiled, at her, both your hands holding each other's. You looked at her eyes, realising just how beautiful they were.

"How did you get here? My friend said there were no more people living on this planet" you asked.

"Vortex manipulator. Cheap and nasty time travel" she smiled, holding out her wrist that had a strap on it. "I came here as soon as I saw my friend lying..dead.. I ran away. I just wish...I'd had the chance to actually stand with him in his last moments. He was the only person I had.." she sighed heavily, looking down.

"You've got me" you told her.

You placed another hand over her hand, sandwiching it between your hands, giving her some warmth. You had no idea why you weren't scared or screaming to get away. But you didn't care. Anyone you were able to have this close to you you wanted to hold onto forever. And the feeling of butterflies in your stomach every time she made contact with you was amazing.

"It's okay. I understand how hard it is to loose someone. I lost my dad recently" you sighed heavily, looking down.

"I'm sorry" she said.

"Don't be. He was an abusive arsehole. Loosing mum and Alice..my little sister, when I was sixteen, now that was hard...is hard.." you swallowed a little, trying not to think about it too much.

You both sit in a silence, just morning your losses. You'd lost a lot and you both knew how the other felt. Your hands were squeezing each others, giving you both some warmth and comfort. But at least Missy's tears stopped falling now. It was a much calmer form of grieving than before.

"I should be getting back to my friends now. They'll have noticed I've gone missing." You said "you can come if you want"

Missy looked to you, giving you a small nod. You nodded in return, the two of you standing up. You brushed the dirt off your jeans, frowning slightly that Missy's hands were no longer holding yours, leaving you feeling cold.

She followed you, side by side as you made your way back to the path, hoping to find the doctor there.

"You should know that one of my friends over exaggerates when I wander off. I shouldn't be breaking that rule" you told Missy.

"Ah, well, what are rules for if not to be broken right?" Missy smiled.

You giggled a little, you couldn't agree more. You truly felt happy for once. Missy was someone who could make you feel better, and there was no way you were going to let her go. Although it might take some convincing from the doctor.

"So, how did you get here? I don't see a vortex manipulator on you" Missy asked.

"Oh, I'm a traveller, my friend...Okay it's too hard to explain. I think it's best if I just show you when we get there" you said.

"Do you think I'll be allowed to travel with you?" She asked.

"Well my friend owes me nine years worth of favours. Plus some more because she took me home without my permission" you huffed, still a little frustrated with the doctor.

Missy laughed at that. You looked her way, a little confused. She smiled at you.

"What did she do to owe you so many favours?" She asked.

"Ugh, long story" you rolled your eyes.

She laughed even more at that and you knew it was the first time in a long time she laughed like that.

"Well I hope we stick together long enough for me to find out one day" she said.

"Me too" you replied, blushing slightly.

You continued walking until you made your way to the path. You didn't know whether to go back to the TARDIS or in the other direction where the others were going before you walked off. You decided on finding the doctor and the others by following down the path for them with Missy following you.

It didn't take long for you to find them either. And they definitely were looking for you. You knew just by their worried faces or the doctor's frustrated one, annoyed that you wandered off again. You wanted to hide away and not have to deal with her shouting but the doctor's facial expression changed as soon as she glanced towards Missy.

"Erm...sorry I umm...may have walked off. But look I found someone on this planet. A planet that's supposed to be deserted right" you said quickly.

"Introduce us why don't you" missy smiled.

You nodded, looking over at everyone. The doctor looked shocked and was frozen like ice, her eyes fixed on Missy. You shrugged it off, introductions everyone.

"Missy, this is Yaz, Graham, Ryan and the Doctor. Guys this is Missy" you said, pointing at everyone while saying their name.

"Doctor? D..did you say doctor? Are you..?" Missy stuttered as she looked just as shocked and frozen as the doctor did at the moment.

"Missy. Long time no see" the doctor said in a voice barely over a whisper.

Missy's eyes widened in realisation and shock as she lunged forward, bringing the doctor into a tight embrace. You were confused and looked around to the others who were just as confused. So...they knew each other then?

"I thought you died...I saw you just lying there..." Missy whispered, squeezing the doctor tightly as tears fell down her cheek.

You started to think that the friend missy thought had died was the doctor. It probably was, seeing as the doctor was a guy before she regenerated into a woman.

"I could say the same about you" the doctor said, hugging her back, her eyes squeezed shut in the embrace, holding back tears of her own.

"Oh me...I never stay dead" missy chuckled slightly, not letting go of the doctor. "You regenerated"

The doctor pulled back slightly, smiling.

"What do you think of the new body?" She asked, posing for Missy.

Missy smiled, raising a brow.

"Welcome to the sisterhood" she smirked.

"Talking about that, why the hell didn't you tell me more about being a woman! It's really hard! You know I found out everything on my own and it was a complete shock! I had no idea what was going on! It's hard being a woman" the doctor complained, crossing her arms and giving Missy a pouting face.

Missy laughed at that, going forward to hug the doctor again. She returned the hug gladly, glad to have her childhood friend back.

"I missed you" Missy whispered.

"I missed you too"
