"How the heck did I not notice that before?" You asked yourself.

You smiled and wanted to cheer in victory of finding he tunnels. You instantly started to walk over to it, careful not to take your eye off the cave. You swore when you first looked around you didn't see that. But how on earth could you miss a huge tunnel like that?

You reached the entrance of the tunnel which looked even darker up close inside. You knew that the story Anicus told you wasn't true and you knew it was just going to be an empty tunnel. You were just glad and quite smug that you actually managed to find it. But you couldn't help but wonder if the story was true.

"Well, one way to find out" you told yourself, taking a confident step inside.

You weren't too sure where your confidence came from but you assumed it was because you knew that a story like that couldn't be real. The tunnels were sure to be empty.

You continued to walk further in, admiring how beautiful the tunnels were. You always loved how nature managed to create beautiful complexes and that awe and admiration grew when you started to travel with the doctor all those years ago. It was good to be travelling again. It was good for you, in every way. It was such a relief to know that the doctor didn't just leave you behind because she didn't want you around anymore and all those answers you kept asking yourself about why she did it were finally answered. And not to mention how much going away with her in the TARDIS was an escape from everything going on at home.

You continued to walk down and could almost hear your heartbeat in your ears. You had no idea it was beating so hard. You didn't feel that scared or adrenaline high. But it was almost as though the sound of your heartbeat was ricocheting off the walls of the cave.

You continued to step forward until you could hear a faint noise coming from up ahead of you. You couldn't quite figure out what it was so took some more cautious and quiet steps forward, deeper into the cave.

Slowly but surely, the noise became louder and clearer, just as the sound of your heart beating became louder in your ears. You could make out that the noise sounded like a soft...crying?

You instantly stopped in your tracks, seeing something ahead of you. It looked like a person with a head of hair as white as snow, sat in the corner of the cave, softly crying. You could see that in her back, there was a gaping hole in which you could see her heart beating through her shattered rib cage.

You were at a loss for words. So it was real then. The story was real. And the noises you could hear was not your heart, but the drumming of her cursed heart carrying on her life even after being stabbed in the back. Her skin was old and wrinkling as she was withering away in the cave.

She didn't look like she'd noticed you so you tried to stay as still and quiet as possible. But at that very moment, a pain stabbing cramp hit you and you yelled in pain, grabbing onto the wall and clutching your stomach. Your face was winced as you tried to breathe deeply and control yourself. But your shouting had made Isla notice that you were there.

She turned around, her tear stained face looking at yours. She was old and her body was withering away. Her face was sunken and her eyes were red from tears. The stood up and faced you properly. Her expression was strange, one which you couldn't quite read. She didn't look angry to see you. But her malnourished and bony, tall slim figure made you instinctively take a few steps back. In her hands she cupped a white and old rat.

"Who are you? A...are you here to help me? Please help me" she cried out to you.

Her voice sounded so strained and painful. You could see the tears pouring from her sunken eyes. The only thing you could hear was the constant drumming of her heart which you could see through the gaping hole which was stabbed into her flesh.

You couldn't conjure up the words for you felt your mouth go dry. She took a step closer to you as you felt fear creep up.

"Please help me. He won't let us go" she cried in a shaky voice.

You stood frozen, unsure of what to do. You mustered up the courage to speak to her and not be afraid that the story was true. According to the story, she was the nice one.

"I...Isla?" You started.

Her face seemed to change a little as she saw you knew her name.

"Please...the wizard wont let us go...." she said in a voice just over a whisper.

"I...I have a friend...she can help..... I should go find her...s..she'll be mad...if she find out I...wandered off..." you stuttered, swallowing down your fear.

Her face looked like it was morphing I to anger. You stepped back again, your eyes widening a little.

"He won't let us go!" She shouted.

You stepped back which she instantly started to move quickly towards you. You turned to run but felt her hand grab your wrist. You instantly pulled away, the sudden contact sending your heart rate rocketing and you really weren't sure now if the loud beating was her heart or yours.

"HE WON'T LET US GO!!" She screamed, causing you to flinch back.

"I...I need to go...." you stammered, running away from her.

You looked back for a second, seeing her turn back around and sit back in her corner to weep over Archie. You didn't stop running though, running out of there. She scared you to death back there. But one thing was for sure, you definitely needed to show the doctor this stuff.
