You're Older and Your Parents Fight A lot so He Stays With You

"Luke, Hun it's gonna be okay, alright? It's all gonna blow over soon." I coo at my younger brother, who has been staying with me for a week, due to my parents annoying fighting.

"They they just say awful things to EACH OTHER and then yell at me!" He hiccups, tears still running down his cheeks, my heart breaks. I envelop him in a hug and kiss the top of his head, sighing hoping he will stop crying soon.

"I'm sorry j just needed to talk." He says, pulling away and wiping his nose. I smile.

"It's okay, bub." I soothe, smiling and putting on a film and cuddling with him.

Eventually he falls asleep, and I slip out of the room and fall into my bed, quickly asleep.
