On May 25, 2020 George Floyd was killed by a police officer (I won't say his name because fuck him) in Minneapolis.
The office kneeled on the back of George's neck for approximately eight minutes and fourth-six seconds.
In the video of his killing you heard George screaming that he couldn't breathe, he even yelled the words "please officer" but what did the officer do? He continued to kneel on that man's neck. The other three/four cops that were there at the seen WATCHED AND SAID NOTHING.
Unfortunately George isn't the first victim of police brutality. Black protesters have been pepper sprayed and harassed, finally the anger built up to where the protest turned into a full blown riot because we're pissed the fuck off of not being looked at as a human being because of the color of our skin.
as a young black woman i worry a lot this day and age. i worry for myself, for my nephews, for my brothers, for my family and friends.
black lives matter and they always will.
so please reach out to your black friends and let them know you stan with them.
