"Mumma... mumma aapka papel kaichha hua ?", Mimi asked excitedly holding Anokhi's hand.

Anokhi knelt down before her and gently holding her shoulders, she said, "Mimi beta... aapne kaha tha na ki main naa ghabraau... aur dekho main bilkul bhi nhi ghabraayi. Maine bohot achche se apna paper diya... aapke wish ke bina mumma itni mehnat kar hi nhi paati..."

"Mujhe pta tha meli mumma bohot blave (brave) hai.  Mumma aapko pta hai... maine aapke liye play (pray) bhi kiya tha...", Mimi said.

Anokhi kissed her darling daughter's forehead and said, "Meri princess ne apne mumma ke liye pray kiya tha na isiliye to mumma bilkul bhi nhi dari. Aur aapko pta hai Mimi... jab bhi mujhe exam mein koi pareshaani aayi tab har baar maine meri princess ko yaad kiya. Aapke all the best ne mujhe hausla diya. Thank you meri bachchi... aapke bina mumma ye nhi kar paati..."

"Achcha Mimi aap batao... aapne vha saara din kya-kya kiya ?... Nanny ke saath khela aapne?", Anokhi asked keeping her bag on the table.

"Haan mumma... maine bohot machhti (masti) ki Nanny ke chhaath... lekin mujhe aapki bohot yaad aayi mumma... aap mele chhath hote to aul machhti kalte...", Mimi said.

Anokhi's heart ached listening to this. She walked over to Mimi, kneeled down in front of her and said holding her ears, "I am sorry Mimi... mumma ko maaf kardo... aapko meri yaad aayi aur main aapke paas nhi thi... please aap mumma ko bura mat maanna... sorry princess..."

Mimi immediately lowered her mother's hands and said hugging her, "Mumma aap kaan kyu pakal lahe ho... main aap chhe bilkul bhi guchcha nhi hu... aap to meli pyaali rashgulla ho..."

Anokhi reciprocated the hug and snuggled close to her.
