Russell, and the two other guys that came along with Blake, were standing around, guarding a cell that was apart from all the others. Blake was standing next to it, looking inside.

As I walked closer, I saw a girl about my age inside the cell. We were probably the same height, but that was about the only similarity between her and me. Her copper tinted hair was flowing down to her waist in soft curls. She had smudges of dirt in some parts of her lightly tanned skin, but other than that, it was flawless. Now that I'd been staring at her, her hazel colored eyes were concentrated on me. When I turned to look at Blake, he had his eyebrow raised, and was smirking at me.

"She's my mate, you know," he told me, and I couldn't help but chuckle.

So, maybe I'd spent longer checking her out than I should have. It was mainly because I wanted to make sure she was good enough for Blake.

"You're really pretty," I told her, offering her a smile.

She had been looking at me with curiosity, which was when I remembered I probably should've introduced myself before.

"I'm Leila, by the way," I told her, outstretching my hand.

"Yes, I know. You're the one everyone seems to be talking about," she replied, in what seemed a bitchy tone.

I frowned at her, but couldn't hold my frown because she had actually stretched out her hand to shake mine.

Even though I wasn't sure at first, I still shook her hand.

"She's Christina," Blake told me, nodding toward his mate.

He had a goofy grin on his face, which made him look like a little kid. I'd been used to seeing grins or smiles like that on Eric. Never had I seen Blake act like that.

"I prefer Christy. Christina makes me sound old," she said, while scowling at Blake.

I didn't approve of the way she was looking at him, but Blake didn't even seem to care.

"You know, that dude- the Alpha- he's paying a load of money to anyone who takes you to him," Christy said, while taking a seat on a very uncomfortable looking bench.

"Is that why you came here? You wanted to take me?" I asked her.

"Nope," she replied, and then turned to look at Blake.

"I already told him," she said, pointing at Blake, "that it wasn't in the plans."

"Why didn't you do it? You were going to get a lot of money for taking me," I said, trying to see if she was lying.

Christy had now directed her frown at me.

"Are you serious? There were ten of us. Your mate has the biggest pack in the whole country. Do you actually think we'd be that stupid and try to take him on?" She asked, while laughing at me.

I didn't really find it funny, but I kept that to myself.

"Why did you attack then?" I asked her.

"Your pack attacked first. We were only going to talk to the Alpha, or to you, I guess. You're the Luna of this pack, right?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Yes, I am. What did you want to talk about?"

"I was going to tell you some info we got on the Alpha that wants you. In exchange, we wanted one of the guys you're holding up," Christy said.

Blake was looking between Christy and me, with his arms crossed. He had a grin on his face, even though I didn't think there was anything to be happy about.

I gave him a questioning look.

He shrugged, while resting the side of his body on the cell.

"It's nice to see you two getting along," he said.

I chuckled at his words, mainly because I found his explanation a tad bit crazy. Christy looked at Blake like he was from another planet. Even though she was acting indifferent, I knew she was already feeling the bond.

Rogue or not, there was no way you could turn away from your mate. The odds of surviving without your mate- they were next to none. I'd felt it myself when I ran away from Dylan the first time.

The second prove of that, was Alpha Nicolas. He was basically a lost cause.

"I don't know about that group of guys you were with, but I know for sure you will be let out as soon as my mate gets here," I told Christy.

She looked at me suspiciously, before directing her gaze to Blake.

"Just how close are you two?" She asked him.

"It's not like that with us," I reassured her.

She looked between Blake and me for a while, before nodding her head, seeming satisfied with whatever it was that she found.

"I'm not going to apologize for attacking that girl," Christy said.

Blake frowned at her, looking like he disapproved with her words.

"She could die," I told Christy. I couldn't help but look at her with curiosity. I would never hurt her- mainly because she was Blake's mate. But she shouldn't be throwing out in the open that she wasn't sorry for almost killing someone.

"I wasn't the one who attacked her, but she deserved what she got. This is the real world. It was either her or us. There was no way in hell we were going to get jabbed just because a little girl wanted to play grown up," Christy said.

I could see where she was coming from, but I still didn't like that she seemed to look at the situation so coldly.

"No one is going to hurt you, but you shouldn't be saying things like that. It's not right," Blake told her, still looking shocked by what she said.

"I don't care. It's just how it is. Packs have it different, but I'm not in a pack. I also didn't hurt anyone, so your people shouldn't be against me over something I didn't do," Christy said.

Even though I understood her point of view, there was no way I could agree with her. Lilly didn't deserve to get hurt. I was almost certain the only reason she would've attacked them was to protect herself or other members from the pack. Obviously, it had been a stupid decision, especially if the Rogues were stronger than her. But her intentions had been genuine.

Blake's face suddenly turned serious. I was about to ask him what was up, when he spoke.

"Dylan's here," he said.

I focused on Dylan, trying to sense out where he was. His scent hit me fairly quickly, which meant he was close by.

Russell and the other guys stood up straighter right after Blake said that.

"I will do what I told you before, if Dylan doesn't agree with you," Blake said.

Just then, I heard the metal door opening, and footsteps heading our way.

"Blake," Dylan said, closing the distance between us and him.

"Dylan," Blake replied, using the same serious tone that Dylan had used.

Two guys stood behind Dylan, but Jace wasn't there. Dylan had stopped about five feet away from us. It felt weird to be standing next to Blake, instead of being beside Dylan.

I heard someone else coming towards us, and let out a sigh of relieve when I noticed it was Eric. He came to stand next to me, which made Dylan frown.
