I want to give a quick thanks to LiveBetter6 for the awesome banner on the side :D Thank you!

"Hello," I nervously said into the phone.

"Leila?" Hearing Blake's voice made me smile. It had only been hours since I last talked to him, yet after what had happened, it felt like a lifetime.

"It's me," I shyly replied.

My palms were still sweaty, and they felt sticky when I rubbed then against my bare knees.

"For a moment there I thought it was Dylan with another reason why I should stay away from you," Blake replied, chuckling.

I smiled, and couldn't help as my eyes got watery. I still couldn't believe I was talking to Blake after everything that had happened today with him and Christy.

"No, he's in the other room," I said. Just last night I was telling Blake the exact same thing.

Blake's laugh resounded through the phone.

"Again in trouble, I see."

"Just a little," I admitted, chuckling along with him.

"How are things over there? Are you alright?" Blake's voice turned serious as he asked that.

"I'm alright. I thought you would be mad at me though. I don't know what to say about today."

I wasn't really sure how to describe today, or what had happened. No one needed another problem apart from what was happening with Alpha Jackson and Alpha Nicolas.

"Don't say anything. I don't really want to think about today any more than I have to."

As I heard Blake's voice, it was easy to sense that today was still all too present in him.

He'd been a step away from dying, and so had his mate.

"I'm sorry. But, you're right- we don't have to talk about it."

"Don't apologize. I don't think anyone is to blame here." I found comfort in his words, even though I was still mad at Dylan. Politics didn't count if they screwed over family, friends, or the mate of your best friend.

"How is Christy? Is she around?" I asked Blake, the smile returning to my lips as I thought back to Christy.

"You are never going to guess where she's at," Blake said. I could just picture him with a grin on his face.

"Where is she at?"

"Thanking the Wolf spirits that we're alive- literally."

"Huh?"

"Apparently, I don't get any credit for saving her life today. So, she's thanking the ones that made that possible. The Wolf spirits, or whatever the hell that means."

I couldn't help but laugh. I had some religious believes. I never did think about Wolf sprits, or anything of the sort.

"Well, I guess..." I didn't know what else to say after that. Blake started laughing really hard with my words, or lack of.

"Yes, I'm also trying to guess what runs through Christina's head. Oh right, Christy. I've been warned of several precious jewels from my body getting removed if I continue calling her Christina."

I chuckled, thinking back to Christy's introduction and how the name Christina apparently made her sound too old.

"I'm so happy for you, you know. I wish you guys were still here. I want to get to know Christy," I told him.

I felt that my words put a damper to our conversation, but Blake didn't seem to mind.

"You will, in due time. Don't worry yourself over that right now. Just focus on the pack, and don't get distracted with the real problem here. I can almost feel Nicolas and Jackson wanting to attack at any moment. Dylan needs to be careful."

I couldn't find the words to describe how I felt after Blake said that. Yes, I was really worried about the existing danger on the pack. I just didn't think that Blake would care anymore, not after Dylan had threatened him and Christy.

"Leila, are you still there?"

"I am," I muttered.

"Good, I'm here you know. For obvious reasons, I can't go over to Midnight Moon. Not that I really want to go at the moment either way. But, I'm still here if you need anything," he assured me.

"I know," I said, even though I was feeling pretty lonely.

"I will probably not be getting updates from Dylan anymore, seeing as the ties with our packs are broken. I do expect you to tell me anything that happens over there," Blake said.

"I will, I'll tell you everything that happens."

"Christy's back." As Blake said that, I could hear shuffling on the other side of the phone.

I wasn't sure what he was doing, but he was definitely moving around.

"I should probably let you go then. It's getting late either way," I said, as I stared at the closed door in front of me.

"Will you be okay? You should talk to Dylan you know, make sure things are good between you two. The man's a bastard, but- he's a bastard that cares about you."

I thought his words over. Maybe they were true, maybe they weren't. I did know that most of the time, Blake was right.

"I know. I'll see you later, okay?" I said, already hearing Christy's voice in the background.

"Sure thing. Oh, and keep Dylan's phone. That way I know where to reach you."

"I will. Tell Christy I said 'hey',"

Blake chuckled, and repeated to Christy what I had said.

"Tell her to smack her mate around for me, will ya!" I heard Christy's voice in the background.

I laughed at her words, in that moment more than before, wishing that they could both be here.

"She said hello and that Dylan is quite a fellow." Blake edited most of Christy's words. After her comment, she began her rant on Alpha's and how they think everybody owes them. It was all probably directed to my mate, but it was okay. She had a right to be mad at him.

"Isn't that the truth," I replied.

We both laughed, before saying our goodbyes, and ending the call.

It wasn't even nine yet, but there was nothing to do. I could've watched TV, but there was no point. I wouldn't be able to pay attention to it. As I lay in bed, I focused on Dylan who was in the other room.

I couldn't hear him, but I could feel his Wolf. Just like mine, his was probably giving him trouble.

I thought about going to his room, and maybe sleeping with him. We didn't have to talk at all. I could just lie down and go to sleep. My wolf would appreciate it a lot more, and I wouldn't have a restless night.

On the other hand, I was still feeling mad at what had happened today.

Blake's words did give me some comfort though. I was glad he wasn't mad at Dylan. Part of him was probably still resentful. I was sure it was mainly because Dylan threatened Christy's life.

I couldn't help but wonder what exactly had happened after I was taken away. Dylan said he and Blake had fought, but something must've happened to make them come to an agreement.
