"Why don't you like it?" You ask your husband, Hikaru. You had just gotten a tattoo on your finger so you didn't have to wear an actual ring. It's very dangerous to wear rings when working in engineering. You learned that the hard way.
"It's just.... Different." Hikaru said, holding your hand go get a closer look at it.
"I had it modeled after the engagement ring. I thought you'd like it." You say, kissing his cheek.
"It's not that I don't like it, I just prefer the actual ring." Hikaru said, his eyes sad.
"I almost lost my finger last time remember?" You remind him, pointing at the scars on your finger from the accident.
"Yeah," Hikaru muttered. "I think the tattoos okay. At least it looks like the ring."
"There you go!" You say, slapping his shoulder. "I knew you'd come around."
"Yeah yeah." Hikaru muttered, kissing you to stop you from praising him.
