You were as cheerful as you ever could be. Your job was going great, no big stress today or in the past week, and things were going great with your boyfriend, Jim Kirk. He had been a bit stressed lately and even though it tends to bother him, you finally got him to agree to just a week off of work. He hadn't had a day off in... well.. weeks.
"Hello Y/N." Jim greeted you with a smile on his face. You smiled back, flopping down on the couch beside him and snuggling close. He wrapped and arm around her and kissed the top of your head, that smile never leaving his face.
"You're mighty happy today." You remark, placing your head on his shoulder and smiling. He kissed the top of your head again before reaching into the small table by the couch and handing you a bouquet of flowers.
"Well, I got my magnificent girlfriend these." Jim stated, handing you the flowers.
"Awww Jim. They're beautiful." You say, gently touching each soft pedal on one flower. They were charming and all of your favorite colors. But what was holding them together surprised you.
"Can I?" Jim asked, kneeling down on one knee and taking off the band that was holding the flow stems together. It took you a few seconds, but you realized it was an engagement ring. "Y/N, will you marry me?"
You dropped the flowers, they made a soft sound as they hit the metal floor. You didn't speak, all you did was pull Jim into a long kiss before nodding your head and kissing him again.
