Explosions on away missions weren't good. Ever. You and Leonard McCoy were stranded alone on a desolate planet. He had gotten injured in that explosion, cuts, bruises, burns, and even some broken bones littered his body.
You managed to help him far away from the explosion site. You were only slightly injured, some small burns and cuts. "I need you to keep pressure on that cut." Leonard informed, carefully pointing to a cut in his leg. It was bleeding profusely, his pants now soaked. The parts that weren't burned off of course.
Shaking, you pressed a hand down on that cut. Leonard winced and grimaced in pain. "Sorry..." You mutter, loosening the pressure.
"No no, keep the pressure." Leonard insisted, yelling as you put full pressure on it again. "If it wasn't painful I'd be worried." He added, smirking a little.
You nod, unable to joke at this time, worry for Leonard completely consuming you. "What now?" You ask, looking at the blood on his face, trying to find the abrasion.
"That's the immediate danger wound. Tie a cloth or something higher up by leg to compromise blood flow. Then bandage the leg. We should be on the Enterprise soon, I'll be astounded if the sensors didn't register that explosion. Then the nurses will take me and this will all be over." Leonard grumbled, pointing to his leg. Shaking still, you nodded and found a strip of cloth. The best you could with one hand, you tied it higher on his leg. Then, you wrapped the actual wound.
"Like that?" You ask, moving back from his leg.
"Just like that. Thank you Darling." Leonard answered, smiling. He moved his hand to hold yours, lightly rubbing the back of it to calm your nerves.
"Thank you." You mutter, sighing.
"No, thank you." Leonard said, bringing your hand to his cracked lips and kissing the back of your hand. Suddenly, you two were on the Enterprise. Leonard was taken to sickbay and had extensive surgery on his leg, but he was okay. You decided to meet him in sickbay a lot to learn more medical things. Plus, spending time with him was always incredible.
