Y/N POV

A couple weeks passed since the incident, I gulped and just shook the thought of what happened between Mike and I out of my head as I walked around the Wheelers house. Tonight the Wheelers were having an annual dinner night, which I always had to attend... I wish I hadn't, I wish he hadn't had said those words.

"Honey, why don't you go hang out with the boys down stairs in the basement?" Mrs Wheeler asked as she brushed past me with beverages. I shrugged, her eye brows raised.

"What's wrong? Usually you and Mike are glued to the hip?" She asked, I gulped and was about to say something when Mr Wheeler called out for her. Mrs Wheeler apologised and walked off, leaving me lonely.

I started making my way upstairs and slowly examined the framed pictures out in the hall way, my eyes kept moving along when I stopped and landed on a picture of Mike, Will and I when we were 4. My smile crept across my lips, I then realised that Mike didn't like me anymore, it was obvious.
I continued walking and reached the end of the hall way, it was Mike's room.

The door creaked open as I entered, I haven't been in his room in a couple months, still looked the same. Step by step I admired his things, the toys and figures I had bought with him from the comic store in town. My eyes then glued to a walkie talkie that was placed next to his bed, I understood his pain, losing the one you loved...

My breaths started to increase as I thought about the moments I realised I was in love with Michael Wheeler, my tears escaped quickly. My jaw clenched as I examined the picture frame next to the walkie talkie, it was of Mike and I last Christmas.

"I miss you." I whispered under my breath, my shaking hand reached out to the frame and placed it flat down, so I couldn't see it.

Mike POV

Most of the people left,

"You can't ignore her. I don't know how you're doing it. Anyway, thanks for a good night!" Will spoke as I hugged him a good bye, I blinked and clenched my jaw. I closed the door and turned around to see mom.

"What happened between you and Y/N?" Mom asked curiously, I shook my head and brushed past her.

"Nothing, she's changed." I replied, Mom grabbed my wrist gently and made me face her.

"Just because she's changed doesn't mean a friendship should be ignored. Maybe you changed and she doesn't know how to cope with it... Think about what she goes through." Mom explained, I bit my lip and made my way upstairs to my room.

I stepped into my room and felt different, I could smell her fragrance, Y/N was in here. I coughed lightly and examined the walkie talkie, no signal, no communication. Slowly I sat down on my bed and faced the walkie talkie, I kept my glance on it as I stared... then my eyes finally adjusted and realised the picture frame next to the walkie was faced down. My fingers dragged along the frame and fixed it, the picture captured a moment where I felt super happy. She walked into here and decided to place the frame down?

I blinked my eyes closed softly and thought about last Christmas, she looked so beautiful in that ugly Christmas sweater, only she could pull it off.

My eyes opened again, I licked my lips and clenched my jaw. Standing up quickly I made my way to grab my jacket, I was going to go see her.
