The next morning we gathered around in one of the big rooms of the compound. The gauntlet was laying there, ready to be used. It was an Iron-man, gauntlet holding all six of the stones. All six stones that had caused us so much trouble, all in one place again.

" All right. The glove's ready. Question is, who's gonna snap their freaking fingers?" Rocket started looking around.

" I'll do it." Thor stood up.

" Excuse me?" Scott asked.

" It's okay." Thor answered going for the gauntlet.

But everyone stopped him " No, no, no, whoa. Stop. Stop. Wait a sec. Hey, hey..."

" Wait, wait, wait, Thor, just wait. We haven't decided who's gonna put that on yet." Steve told him. They just didn't want to trust Thor with it, cause you know, he wasn't in the best shape.

" Oh, I'm sorry. What, were you just sitting around waiting for the right opportunity?" Thor asked confused.

" We should at least discuss it." Scott told him. He was right, if we were, maybe I could do it.

" Look, us sitting here staring at that thing is not gonna bring everybody back. I'm the strongest Avenger, okay? So this responsibility falls upon me. It's my duty." Thor then tried to convince us.

" It's not that..." Dad told him.

" It's... stop it! Just let me." Thor started and started to tear up " Just let me do it. Just let me do something good. Something great." Now I started to feel sorry for him. In those five years he hadn't felt like he had done something. Maybe they should let him do it.

" Look...It's not just the fact that that glove is channeling enough energy to light up a continent, I'm telling you you're in no condition." Dad told him.

" What do you think is coursing through my veins right now?" Thor asked us.

" Cheez Whiz?" Rhodey joked.

" Lightning." Thor told us.

" Yeah." Dad sighed.

" Lightning won't help you, pal." Bruce added.

" I can do it." I spoke up. " I got energy flowing through me either way, a bit more or less won't hurt.

But Bruce stopped me " No Odette, It's gotta be me. You saw what those stones did to Thanos. It almost killed him. None of you could survive." Maybe he was right. Thanos' face was almost burned up when we found him five years ago.

" How do we know you will?" Steve asked.

" We don't. But the radiation's mostly gamma." Bruce explained looking at the gauntlet " It's like...uh...I was made for this."

So we decided on Bruce. He was gonna snap his fingers and everyone was gonna be back. I was getting excited.

" Good to go, yeah?" Dad asked him.

" Let's do it." Bruce said determined.

" You remember... everyone Thanos snapped away five years ago and just bringing them back to now, today. Don't change anything from the last five years." Dad reminded him.

" Got it." Bruce nodded. He went to stand in the middle of our circle and we all suited up. I pressed my watch and my suit appeared. Dad put me behind his shield with Clint and we were all ready.

" F.R.I.D.A.Y., do me a favor and activate Protocol 8." Dad told FRIDAY and the room got locked down. We were ready.

" Everybody comes home." Bruce said. He put on the gauntlet, and a power surge went through him. He was clearly in pain.

" Take it off. Take it off!" Thor yelled at him.

" No, wait. Bruce, are you okay?" Steve asked.

" Talk to me, Banner." Dad told him.

" I'm okay. I'm okay." Bruce grunted through the pain. I couldn't imagine the pain he must have been going through, he was being tortured while all we could do was watch. He held up his hand and looked at his fingers, then he did it. He snapped his fingers and he fainted.

I ran towards him and kicked the gauntlet away from Bruce.

" Bruce!" Steve shouted.

" Don't move him." Dad told him. His arm was badly hurt.

" Did it work?" Bruce asked.

" Worth a shot. It's over. It's okay." Thor told him. While Scott walked up to the window I suddenly heard a phone ring. We looked over at the phone.

" It's yours." I told Clint. Dad had his arm around me and we looked at Clint. He was staring at his phone in joy and shock.

He picked up and struggled to speak. " Honey?" I heard him say. It was his wife " Honey." I looked up at dad and hugged him. We had done it, they were back.

" Guys...I think it worked!" I heard Scott say, he was looking at the birds outside the window. I looked over at Bruce, who opened his eyes. But the look on his face wasn't happiness. For one split second it was fear. A missile hit the compound, a part of the wall hit my head and I passed out.
