Jacy POV

I clapped as I watched my football players practice, I been taking a break from coaching, obviously, and I missed doing this. Football was something that I originally wanted to do but I just wasn't feeling the games no more and the rush I get from it.

So in place of that, I rather teach them how to play from the sidelines and just be proud. I didn't get to do my dream so I'm teaching the youth how to do their dream.

Coaching would also get my mind of a lot of shit. Ever since Kimani told me she wanted some space, that's all I been giving her. No calls, no texts, no stopping by her crib, since we left off the way we left off.. I was happy and didn't mind giving her space.

Practice ended at 5 so I had around 45 minutes left to finish and then I gotta go pick up gio from his lil football practice as well and then go home.

45 minutes later..

I patted them on the back as practice was now over then I had to pull over one of my players for a quick talk.

"Mac come here real fast" I told him.

He walked towards me, taking off his gloves. "Yea wassup coach" he said out of breath.

"Your science teacher emailed me earlier today saying you were acting up in class" I said.

He kissed his teeth. "Mannn coach don't listen to that trick. Some niggas in the class be pickin on this girl all the damn time so when I told them to leave her alone, the teacher wanna go off on me and I went off on her back" he complained.

"Okay well, I understand some teachers are like that and I believe you cause I've seen your behavior in class myself and your not a bad kid. Your grades are good but in cases like that, if the teacher flips the blame on you, just apologize and keep quiet" I explained.

"So ima just sit there and let the girl get picked on..?" He questioned.

"That's not what I'm saying. If you stand up for someone and the teacher puts you in the hot seat, don't even argue back. Teachers like that just look for someone to yell at since they don't know the whole story" I went on.

He let out a huff. "Fine coach, I just don't do well when people yell at me when I'm not in the wrong" he admitted.

"And that's understandable, look, I'm not gonna put this as a warning but if it happens again then it will be a warning" I said sternly.

"Thanks" he said then I let him walk off.

I adjusted my hat then followed the team to the locker room. As they were changing and all that, I went into my office and shut the door. I sat on my chair behind my text and I got a call from....Kimani? If she's called to say that our break was over then that's kinda fast.

"Hello?" I trailed off answering it.

"Uhm hey, is this Jacy?" I heard a different voice ask.

"Yea.. who's this?" I asked.

"This is Kimani friend, sage, she's at work and she left her phone at home. But I wanted to get a chance to speak to you so would you mind meeting me up somewhere?" She asked.

I raised an eyebrow. "What's the conversation about?and is it urgent?" I questioned.

"Not really urgent but it's just about Kimani" she answered.
