Jun's POV
From one timeline to another...
From one struggle to another...
It was the worst.
I wanted to know how Roxy was doing.
I wanted to help our old friends.
But we were stuck in this timeline.
And now we were going to war against the first friend we had when we got here.
I could tell that Nina was homesick too.
For our zombie infested world.
It truly sucked there... but at least we were more united than this world.
"Do you want to go home?" I asked Nina.
Nina nodded. "I do..." she replied. "But we can't."
Of course, we can't! Not until this war is over, and whatever our purpose here is finished.
I was so bitter about it.
I had lost a friend due to corruption.
I had to kill that friend too.
I lost my queen.
My blind sister... is she even alive?! Or has she been turned?!
I wanted to run and find her... to check on her... to protect her... to keep her safe...
But I was stuck here, unable to leave... unable to do a single thing to protect her.
"Jun, don't worry," Nina whispered. "We'll get out of this, and we'll save your sister... I promise you."
