Bryce's POV

"Well that was a nice introduction," I said.

Kat looked miserable. "I didn't think that would happen," she said.

"Well that's why we're here," I said.

Kat smiled a little.

"Well," Anna said. "We have armor at least,"

Kat and I looked at each other.

"We can do better," she said.

"Wait!" I said. "Kat..."

"Don't worry," she said. "I got someone to remove it to this weird gadget thing."

She showed me some weird tech thing.

"Switching back and forth was giving me a headache anyways, zura." she told me.

"What's going on?" Anna asked. "What do you mean you can do better?"

I began to type in a code on my watch and a few moments later, a suit of armor appeared on me.

"Wow," Anna said in awe.

Kat smiled and did the same thing and her suit of armor appeared.

"Where did you get those?!" Anna gasped.

"From a game called Astrorealm," I replied. "Kat and I first met in that."

I pulled up my data log and my information popped up.

Name: Aquarius

User: BryceisNice

Avatar Form: Aquatic

Abilities: Water breathing, faster swim speed, immunity to most fire attacks

Level: 20

Kat pulled hers up next.

Name: Windseeker

User: KitKat

Avatar Form: Aviation

Abilities: Flight

Level: 16

"Wow," Anna said. "You two must be unstoppable!"

I laughed. "Not exactly, our avatar gear has its own weaknesses."

"Like what?" She asked.

"I'm faster in the water," I said. "But on land, I'm slightly slower. Oh and if someone has the storm type avatar, I'm screwed."

"Mine's a lightweight class," Kat informed her. "Meaning I'm fast, especially in the air, however I can get beaten up easily. Oh, and the aviation class is annoying for upgrades because I can only upgrade every ten levels, so my wings is only level 2, so if someone destroys one of my wings, then I fall to my doom."

Anna flinched. "Ow that must be painful," she said.

I shrugged. "We had two other members in our squad, but we lost them."

"We'd rather not talk about it though," Kat said.

"Wait," Anna said. "This sounds like a tech game! I thought Kat-"

"I don't, zura," Kat replied. "But Astrorealm doesn't require technology skills at all, it requires more of your imagination."

"So... if you imagine being the best at the game, you'll be unstoppable?"

I gave her a deadpanned look. "That's not how it works." I told her.

Anna nodded a little embarrassed. "So who is it that we're suspicious of?"

Kat whispered a name and the two of us nodded.

"So, we'll need to watch them?" I asked.

"Yes, we'll keep tabs on this person." Kat replied.

"Roger that," I said.

"Who's Roger?" Anna asked.

"That's a figure of speech," I replied. "It means I agree or okay, got it or something along those lines."

Kat put away a giant book. "You do know that from c. 1650 up to c. 1870, Roger was slang for the word penis, right?"

The two of us looked at each other, then looked at Kat.

"Okay, time for a new catchphrase," I said.

"Agreed,"

"Agreed, zura,"
