Damian's POV
"Damian? Are you okay?!"
Everything was blurry.
To my surprise, I wasn't in pain and I wasn't bleeding much.
Just a few scrapes and bruises.
"Yeah," I mumbled. "I guess so."
"MEDIC!" I heard Jacob yelled.
My vision cleared and I saw Ember help me up, his eyes full of concern.
I looked over to see that the Ravager had been killed.
Thank goodness...
Then I noticed that Hannah was yelling at everyone to back away.
What's going on over there?
I ran towards the scene and when I saw the situation, my heart plummeted.
Now I knew why I wasn't severely injured, or why the impact didn't hurt.
The Ravager didn't hit me. It was somebody else who did!
Somebody had shoved me out of the way.
I stared at the broken figure, soaked in puddle of her own blood.
"Riko!" I screamed, sobbing.
The next minute or so was a blur, I saw X carry her to the medical room with Hannah rushing behind her.
I saw Kat, with two others, who I recognized as her friends, notice the scene.
Kat told them something, then ran after Hannah.
The two newcomers looked concerned.
I was shaking, before I felt something.
I looked down to see Anna, hugging me, whispering to me.
"It'll be okay," the younger girl whispered. "She's going to be fine."
I began to cry.
That should've been me.
